When we moved here from Florida we knew no-one and suspected it might be challenging to find great contractors without referrals. . WOW, was that the understatement of the year.
That being said, the purchase of a foreclosure and/or abandoned home was not one that we relished but remained a necessity with the funds we had available.
We began looking for homes and soon realized that a good contractor would be a necessity. During the process we ran across a few people and realtors who recommended a company called âRent-a-Gent(s)â. The name sounded a bit interesting but we understood the concept and heard that the guys that run the company were, indeed, truly gentlemen. We called and spoke to them, met with them concerning our future and probable needs and were certainly pleased with their knowledge, personalities, responsiveness, and punctualityâ¦among other great contractor qualities.
Well, we purchased a home and the process began. Kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, master suite creation, basement garage door replacement and paintingâ¦lots and lots of painting, etc., etc., etc..
These guys, though they were only two at the time and have since grown to two owners and two sub-contractors, are without a doubt, the most dependable, personable, qualified, knowledgeable, problem solving individuals we have ever had the pleasure with which to do business. They always answer the phone or return a call within a reasonable amount of time. They are always on the job when they promise or they let you know ahead of time why they have been delayed.
Seriously, while they arenât necessarily always the least expensive in a group of bids, they ARE always the best choice. We have learned this over time and just refuse to hire anyone else as long as they are around. Even when they canât do the job themselves because of size or scope, they run every job at our home.
Youâll never regret hiring Rent-a-Gent(s).

Painting job was a condo located at Tuscany on the Lake of the Ozarks. Art and Don have been very helpful and prompt in doing the work. They have been a delight to work with and I recommend them highly. They also charge fairly. I currently live out of state and they have sent me photos to show the progress of the painting which has been very helpful to me. They do a great job and are great to work with.

Built a complicated deck, after tearing the old deck off the house. Crew was always polite and professional. At the end of the day they would ask, "Are you happy with our work". If anything was not to our likening - - it was taken care immediately!
Art and Don made the process fun and stress free for us/ the homeowner.
We always have their phone # in a safe place, because they do small jobs for us, too.
Don returns your call (usually within the hour) or answers immediately when you place the call.
Our family has not been disappointed when using Rent-a-Gent(s)....

Rent-A-Gent(s) has done work for us on numerous occasions. They have painted, done home repairs/remodeling, electrical work and several other projects. They show up when they say they will, perform the work in a timely manner and do excellent work. We recommend them to everyone we know who is looking for someone in these capacities. They are honorable people - can't say enough good stuff!
