My husband and I are embarking on a two phase project with Rescue One; phase one is gutting two bathrooms, redoing old cast iron plumbing in the second floor, and completely replacing the ceiling in our main floor living/dining room. So far, Mike and the Rescue One team have been great to work with. Mike spent over an hour walking through our home, giving a free consultation on repairs and design ideas, as well as providing details on how his team works and his business philosophy. After that, his office team quickly turned around and provided an estimate the same day. We had follow up questions before signing off on our estimate, so again, Mike invited me to his office and they spent a lot more time with me, showed me samples of all kinds of materials they use, pictures of other similar projects, and even threw in a bonus beer and some Rescue One swag, enough to seal the deal in my book. Since then, we’ve finalized the larger portion of our design details, and are going to be scheduling the work in February. Mike is knowledgeable, experienced, and also, a lot of fun to work with. Missy has been so helpful with the design process as well, and we are super excited to see their hard work come to fruition! We’ll update as our project comes along!

Details: Multiple room remodel • Kitchen • Bathroom • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • No, the project is not covered by an insurance claim • As soon as possible

We had a major remodel done by Rescue 1. We had the wall removed between the kitchen and living room. They replaced the ceiling, walls, flooring, cabinets, plumbing, and electrical. While they were doing the demo, they discovered we had a bad carpenter ant infestation. If they wouldn’t have been doing such a thorough job, I hate to think of how long it would have taken us to discover the damage. If you are looking for quality work, I would recommend them to anyone planning a major remodel project. They will not cut corners nor use sub-standard materials. They made my dream kitchen a reality.

Details: Full remodel of existing kitchen • No, plumbing will need to be relocated • Yes, electrical will need to be relocated • 76 - 100 sq ft • Already have plans - just need installation • Residential

Mike and his team at Rescue 1 Construction were professional, timely, and efficient. They were able to complete our remodel on time and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the whole process. The team kept a clean workspace throughout the project and did a final cleaning when the project was finished. I highly recommend this company.

Details: I'm just starting • Kitchen • Replacement of portions of existing structure • 1,000 - 1,500 sq ft • Residential

They installed a bathroom fan/light and fixed some double tapped breakers. Got it done pretty quickly, about 2 hours and they charged me $250 for it which is just above the national average according to homeadvisor.com. Originally I wanted the fan and light on separate switches. I was thankful for Mike's opinion on the matter, he was upfront with me that having separate switches may end up being much more costly and he recommended I get a quiter fan and keep it on a single switch that way I wouldn't even hear the fan when the light was on. Honestly, wish I could have done the work myself to save me the $250 but I'm glad I can rest assured that everything was done right and I don't have to worry about my house catching on fire in the middle of the night!

We were given a timeline that wasn’t met and it took numerous times to get them to commit to date, not the dated promised. One good aspect of the whole process was the office manager, Missy. She answered my questions in a timely fashion and tried to accommodate as much as she could. The workers did a great job with the remodel, however, items weren’t ordered in a timely manner and some items came in incorrectly. We requested the master bathroom and a central bathroom remodel and the central one is being worked on now. The master bath was mostly completed in November because I needed foot surgery and needed to use the central bathroom. The timeline of the initial request and meeting to the bathroom being finished now has taken 7 months.
