Wow! Because of Earl, walking my German Shepherd, Ecko is a joy! Ecko had been getting more and more aggressive towards other dogs. He had even started lunging towards people and it made me nervous to take him out in the neighborhood. On the phone, Earl assured me that they were manageable behaviors. Earl was right on time and we sat and talked dogs for awhile. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. We took Ecko on a walk and as luck would have it a neighbor's dog was out. Earl showed me how to correct Ecko and that it was okay for Ecko to look at the other dog. Earl had my dog calmed down within minutes! Earl Newland is definitely worth a call if you have any issues with your dog.
Sorry readers for the long review but I had such an awesome experience with her that I want to share. So, please keep reading. I have been using Melissa, owner of Manners PuPlease, for two weeks. Honestly, I was skeptical of her service because it was cheap, but it was all I could afford being a college student. I was in desperate need of training with my German Shepherd. When it came to meeting day I was extremely concerned for her safety and well-being of my dog. As I blew up her phone in the regards of my dog and being very nervous. She very patiently responded to my every question and concern. She even sent me random pictures of Mopar in training that keep me at bay. Mopar issue was that he tried to attack people and their dogs. It needed to be addressed ASAP or my final conclusion was putting him down for being overly aggressive to others. Melissa worked hard with Mopar for three days at her house, then when he came back to me, I saw a major improvement!! Then we addressed the situation further at my apartment. This gave me hope for Mopar. Melissa has done everything from simple manners, to teach him to stop showing me his teeth when I grab his collar and calming down my dog we he was in contact with others. Mopar can now see others without wanting to attack or viciously bark at them. Once, during our training, Mopar ripped the leash from my hand to attack a man near his car and luckily didn't bite him. After I got Mopar under control I immediately called her almost in tears and she came to help me right away. I completely trust her and will go to her for future training needs. Her passion is to help others and she helped me be confident in my dog again and also saved his life. I am very glad I hired her. She transform my dog in just six days of one-on-one training with him. I can't thank her enough! She was answer to my prayers! I will recommend her to everyone! THANK YOU MELISSA.
Cindy was a wonderful sitter for my 14 year old German Shorthair. Cindy was very flexible and was always willing to help with my dogs needs. She kept me informed and spent alot time with Deutchse. Cindy went beyond what was expect to make sure my dog happy. Thanks you Cindy!!
Thanks Lea. This was a great experience for me. Great tips and techniques on how to train my dog as well as how to understand my dogs breed specific behavior. Lea is more than a dog trainer, she's a dog expert. I wanted someone to teach me how to best teach my dog and that's what I got. Very reasonable price for that kind of experience. Thanks again, Lea.
I sent out the request to find a dog trainer and I received a quick response from the Turn Around Dogs. I'll have a follow up review after they come to my place and do the consultation.
Maris is an incredibly knowledgable and experienced trainer and breeder, whose work can only be characterized by her deep understanding of a canines own true nature and therefore lack of certain human qualities that we all as dog owners tend to believe our animals posses. She is forthright in her ability to discern between a behavioral problem that begets modification, and the unfortunate genetic problems typical dog owners find more difficult to understand. This ability has allowed her to bring hope back in the homes of families who have found themselves feeling distressed and helpless, particularly when the costs of typical behavioral modification and training may be a deal breaker. We adopted a shelter dog who was severely abused, and suffered from extreme anxiety and fear, specifically of the male gender. It was recommended by our vet that we consider euthanasia, as the safety of my children and anyone who came into the home was of primary importance. As a dog lover who has only raised wonderful family dogs from young puppies, I felt helpless when I realized that this poor damaged young pup we had made a part of our family, was indeed troubled and that his escalating behavior was putting serious strain on not only our family, but the other two great dogs we already raised. Giving up was never an option, the pup had clearly chose my young son at adoption, so I immediately began searching for help with behavior modification both online and through the vet. After speaking with several trainers and one dog psychologist over the phone, it became clear that our family would never be able to afford the help our dog so desperately needed. I finally searched specifically for "dog behavior modification Kansas" online, and found Maris's website. She had a wealth of information and educational materials that not only gave me hope, but proved to me that as a trainer, she truly knew what she was doing. When we spoke in the phone, I explained to her what a serious situation we were in with Sam, and that the vet suggested euthanasia. She immediately calmed my fears and offered to come over and evaluate Sam. Maris never promised that he would be a good candidate, nor that only a session or two would would magically fix the problem, but she did promise to give us her honest opinion at a price my family could afford. After our evaluation, it was clear she could work with Sam, and at the same time train us as a family in how to make things work by being his leaders. There was no time limit on our visits, she didn't charge by the hour, and was in no hurry to rush through a session in order to get to another clients home. After three months of weekly visits, Sam had gone from a fearful broken dog, to a dog that clearly wanted to work to please us. I could not, and would not recommend any other trainer but Maris to anyone. Not only is Maris wonderful at what she does, but she offers her clients a type of affordable personalized service that no other trainer can. There is nothing Maris could ever possibly do better for families, she is simply amazing.
Definitely recommend Zana as a dog trainer. Really friendly and definitely knows what she is doing. We were shocked how well behaved our German Shepherd was after just 2 weeks with Zana!
Maureen is awesome. She is great with my retriever and we've seen so much progress in a very short time. She shows a real knack for training and love for dogs as well as an ability to help me as a dog owner. Thank you Maureen!
Jeff at Show Me K9 Dog Training has helped my dog go from pulling on walks, lunging and barking at dogs, etc. to walking without pulling, looking up and listening for direction, and now knows come, sit, off, wait, heel, and place after only two lessons. Jeff is always willing to answer questions in between sessions at any time of day, gives great directions for me during the week, and very helpful feedback on our progress during lessons. Feels good to throw away the harness and relax on walks with my Buddha! I HIGHLY recommend Show Me K9 Dog Training!
Angela has a very high level of knowledge in both dog behavior and dog training. She was always on time for each appointment and was willing to stay a little late to make sure I understood each facet of the training. You can tell she loves dogs and loves helping people train their dog. She would always return my call when I had questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone serious about training their dog.
Regan did such a great job with my mini Australian Shepard, Rocco. She had a vast knowledge and was able to use a wide range of techniques in teaching my puppy. Regan was also able to understand Rocco and know when to keep pushing and when to take it easy. Not only was Rocco able to learn in this class I also was able to learn so much about training and my dog. I look forward to taking more lessons from Regan in the future and would recommend her to anyone!
Brianne is delightful. It was a pleasure meeting her and we look forward to a wonderful experience choosing Brianne to train our new Gordon Setter puppy. She is a very confident, knowledgeable, experienced dog trainer. It is rare that I would give such a glowing review based on one meeting!
When I first got my puppy, I was in over my head! Regan was able to train my dog using only gentle techniques and show me how to continue the training myself. I cannot say enough about how much Regan helped me and my dog form an even closer bond with my pet. Highly recommended!
Tammie is an excellent dog trainer. She trained my service dog in basic and advanced commands.
Tracy was wonderful helping with ideas for our rescue pup with his fear of my husband. We are looking forward to using her service again. Thanks Tracy!
Carol is very great with my pet! She is very good in communicating how each meeting went and is available to provide advice. My dog is very happy every time he gets to hang out with Carol. I would recommend her to a friend.
