You can tell that Ben is passionate and knowledgable about pianos. He spent quite a while getting ours perfect because it hadn't been tuned in years and the strings were being difficult. He took the extra time to get it just right and didn't charge us any more than his regular rate. A very honest and dependable person. Highly recommend.Feb 25, 2021Verified

I bought a piano and it had a lot of work to do on it, but now it’s like brand new. The back piece of the piano was falling over, which caused my keys to stick and some keys to not play. But it was fixed and tuned. And I couldn’t be happier by the way it sounds and plays. 😁Feb 1, 2021Verified

I recommend Ben, he was very professional at the same time very personable. He certainly knew his craft and thoroughly explained to me everything he found and what needed to be done. It actually took him i'm sure a little longer than what he anticipated, therefore he had to come back the next day to finish to make sure the tuning would last. I was highly impressed with using thumbtack. if anyone out there is in need of a good piano tuner this is the gentleman to call. 5 stars from me. JCV.Nov 10, 2020Verified

Extremely knowledgeable and very good at explaining what all he was doing and what all needed to be done moving forward. Looking forward to the next visit. My piano has been unplayable for quite some time and I am confident that it will be taken care of.Feb 10, 2021Verified

Ben did a wonderful job with our recently inherited piano. Due to its age and condition, it took him over two hours to tune, and he kept at it till it was perfect. It sounds great, and the value for what he charged us can't be beat. He was extremely professional, friendly, and enjoyable to work with. We will definitely be hiring him again when our piano needs re-tuning!Feb 4, 2020Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? At the present time my standard rate for a piano tuning is a one hundred twenty five dollars. Repairs that demand a return trip, purchase of parts, or increased travel are things that I negotiate on am individual basis.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I began my educating in Piano Technology by sitting under longtime Kansas City Piano Technician Steve Waters.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I have worked with folks that have spinets, consoles, and grands, both new and those with a few years under their lids. many of my customers have limited funds set aside for work on the piano. As such, I believe in educating my customers on needs that should be addressed, their urgency, and working with each customer for the best performance of theory instruments.
