FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to sit down with the customer and show them samples of our product. We invite them to beat on it with a hammer, try and break the samples to demonstrate its toughness and ability to bond to their existing concrete. We than ask what their expectations are and see if we can meet or exceed those. If we feel our product will work well in the application they need we will move forward with cost and time frame. If we feel it’s is outside our abilities or knowledge base we have a list of contractors we trust and we put in touch with them to help them bring resolve to their issue.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Working with scientists developing the Epoxy has taught us a lot about the product. Working with the Military has provided us with knowledge as well when it comes to repairing the concrete.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My son is a Dirt Boy in the Construction Engineering Dept in the Airforce. He ask me to design a product that would fill holes and repair cracks they could use on the flight lines and hangers in the Military. A year ago with the help of some scientists and designers of epoxy resins we developed the Magic Mortar product for them. It was tried at a local military base and with their help the design tweaked until it fit their needs perfectly. As they put it in a letter to us, Magic Mortar has been a game changer for them and how they repair their flight lines. We than seen a need for it in the commercial and residential applications and knew it had the potential to save property owners thousands of dollars when it came to repairing their sidewalks, driveways and foundations. We understood not everyone likes to do the work themselves so we decided to offer a crew to do the repairs as well as the product and instructions on how to do the repair yourself.
