FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My flat rates for massages are as follows: $45 for a 30 minute massage $80 for a 60 minute massage (Most Popular) $100 for a 90 minute massage. I offer a membership program for monthly 60 minute massages for only $70 NEW! Currently offering an “Essential Workers” Discount. With proof of employment at a school, hospital, or any other essential workplace, clients will receive an additional 10% off their massage.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client schedules a massage, they will first fill out my intake form which covers current medical information, as well as a brief history. In the form there will also be questions specifically regarding the customer’s goals for the massage are. This information is typically collected online before the appointment takes place, which gives me the chance to review the information before talking with the client at the time of the appointment. At the first appointment, before the massage, I will sit down with my client and go over the intake form with them and ask any follow-up questions I have. We then also talk about how the massage will go, making sure they are aware of and comfortable with the process and give them the opportunity to ask any questions beforehand. This is also when I will let the client know the general treatment plan that I have put together for them. Communication with clients is big for me, but especially in the first appointment it is vital to me that I talk with my clients to make sure that they are comfortable, that the pressure is not too much or too little, and that I am focusing on the correct areas.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied at Midwest Institute in their massage therapy program, completed the state required clinic hours, and sat for and passed the MBLEx (Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination), which is the national examination for massage therapists. I have also completed continuing education in deep tissue techniques.
