FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I generally target $55/ Hourly fee, however this merely serves as starting point as projects vary in complexity & needs. Some projects are design &/ or detail (technically) intensive, whereas other projects are less complex and may require simply quick review, drawings, &/ or minor modifications & architectural seal for document submittal permits, etc.) simplistic. Thus there is value in reviewing the project scope, budget, etc. in determining what is most appropriate for my services (hourly, or Lump Sum).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I generally like to introduce myself, my background & professional experience. I discuss the project with prospective client, & like to visit the project/ job site, where applicable. Information gathering is important, i.e., project goals/ scope, budget, design preferences if any (style, image/ brand, etc.).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Professional degree from Kansas State Univ., with 25+ years practice as architect, 20+ as Licensed architect. Experience at various local (StL) commercial firms, serving a Project Architect (lead architect), construction administrator, client relationship development. Recently served as architectural technical advisor/ consultant for national commercial roofing manufacturer, along with maintaining private architectural practice.
