Nick was very thorough and informative throughout our mold inspection. He even climbed in our very hot and heavily insulated attic to further inspect things! I highly recommend this business.

Had an attic fan not operating properly. The issue was quickly diagnosed and Jared found a replacement motor that was much cheaper than what could be had at Home Depot or Grainger. The fan is now operating properly and I'm a happy camper. Excellent service, great price and would definitely hire again. Thank you!

Rollie was quick to get the job done and did a superb job. We needed someone to climb to the top of our 3rd story dormer window and repair some trim around the dormer so squirrels couldn't get into our attic. Rollie was able to fit us in within 2 days of getting the call and get the job done in less than an hour!

My house is noticeably warmer after having new insulation blown into my attic and my crawlspace sealed and insulated. My furnace is running less frequently thanks to the work done by Brett's team. Communication has been excellent, and the pricing to do both my attic and crawlspace was very agreeable. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for insulation. Note that Thumbtack has this named "Big River Ventures" when it seems like Brett's company name on the card is InsulationMatters.

Hired Steve to insulate, drywall, and paint our garage, and to replace several pieces of trim around several doors. Steve did a good job on all of it, but will tell you that plastering is a bit of an art that can be challenging. I would hire Steve again for any carpentry needs.

Midwest Metal Roofs did a spectacular job on our roof (complete tear off and new non-metal Tamko 50 year shingles on a 1.5 story home in Millstadt, Illinois)! Dale worked with us regarding project payment, provided a no-hassle estimate, and even lowered his estimate when the materials went on sale (a savings I think many contractors would have pocketed). Dale and his crew were professional, expeditious, thorough, tidy and the outcome was overall amazing. I could not be more pleased with our choice to go with Midwest Metal Roofs!

H2 Group - When I was told we would have contractors in our home for five days, I was dreading it. These guys were so good I now feel compelled to spread the word about my experience as far and wide as possible, because they deserve it! (And I kinda feel like a jerk for assuming the worst) We had an absolutely huge task laid out. It required indoor and outdoor work, replacing and adding ducts on two floors of our house, insulation, floor moulding, a brand new water heater, and all kinds of odds and ends. There is no way, I thought, these guys can get it all done in a week. I was wrong, and the work is amazing! We had the team of Jason, Eddie, and Morgan. I’ll start with Morgan. He was described to us as the apprentice. That to me meant he stood around watching and learning, running errands, that sort of thing. In reality, I don’t think Morgan was stationary for more than five seconds the entire 5-day project! This guy was a machine, running around at full speed, prepping areas and ripping up the stuff that had to go, and leaving each area *spotless* as he went. He left every area in better condition than he found it. So much hustle! Eddie was “in the middle” I’d guess you’d say, but he knew absolutely every facet of the job as well. He could act fully independently and didn’t need Jason (that I saw) for any guidance. He was basically the outdoor guy, working independently of Jason and Morgan on the inside, and he is the reason that the project was done so fast - it was almost like having 2 crews, one outside and one for inside, racing to get the job done (but never cutting corners). We were stunned with the quality of his work as well, and he also followed the golden rule of leaving each area in better shape than he found it. Jason, the boss… I can’t say enough good things about him, but I really want to highlight three different skill sets that I’d rate him 5-stars in all three. He knew his business like you have no idea. He was an absolute expert on every part of our house, not just one skill. So thats 5-stars Customer interaction - let’s be honest, not everyone who is a marvel with a saw is also good at talking to customers (and my folks are elderly and so extra wary and paranoid about having people in the house.) Jason is a true gentleman and man of his word, friendly and most importantly direct and honest in a way that puts you at ease. He sold us on picking his company, but it wasn’t until the end of day 1 we knew every single promise he had made to get the job was going to be done well and on time. Thirdly, we had a small crisis. Our super-old and (it turned out) broken water shut-off valve broke at a critical time. Luckily it was a small one, but water was now leaking. Jason treated this unforeseen crisis with a calm and collected demeanor, never lost his cool or focus. Total confidence. He called in a 4th guy to buy parts and meet him, and the next thing you know we have a brand new shutoff valve, the pressure regulator had been moved, and a section of pipe that was questionable was replaced as well. All in under an hour! His calm demeanor kept us from getting worked up, because (to us) it looked bad. To Jason, no sweat, I got this. And he did. There were a whole host of other areas too. He noticed some weather stripping was leaking that we hadn’t, boom fixed. Some repair work that another group had done was good but not great, boom he cleaned up their work so it matched his fantastic work. You literally cannot see the nails that hold in the moulding in our gorgeous new Sun room! And the entire house was spotless when they left, even the halls in which they had done no work but connected rooms they had. Everything had been covered with plastic before they started. Just pro. These are the people you want when it’s time to pick strangers to let into your sanctuary! Fast, outstanding work, quality people, no smoking or swearing, great customer interaction, and make the unexpected problems that are bound to pop up just vanish like it was all part of the plan. H2 Group has my highest recommendation! M. Paluch

But an integrated "whole-house" approach that views at your house as a system is the way to better results. The St. Louis region has significant summer and winter climates. This compounds the need for efficiency to deal effectively with the cooling and heating seasons. Most of the year, we use the air conditioner or the furnace. For this particular Midwest area, our climate extremes make energy efficiency much more crucial.
