Paddy definitely understands dogs and dog behavior. She is a skillful dog trainer and she's also helped me learn how to shape my dog's behavior with positive methods. Training has strengthened the relationship between me and my dog, and Paddy has helped facilitating this by helping me to understand my dog better.
For the time allowed Karma showed definite improvement & improved command listening. His walk by side and other commands in Germsn have given him a great foundation to have me continue his training. After seversl months and Ksrma reaching 1 years maturity, I may take him back for additional advanced traing. I was very pleased with owners/trainers. Kudos. Terry Tesson
I can not say enough good things about Ben. On the first visit he had my 6month German Shepherd eating out of his hand. Ben is a very tall gentle giant with a very soft voice. I can not sing his praises enough. Just 3 visits and I have a new well behaved dog. If I have any problems I will quickly call him again.
Amy was very helpful assisting in training our puppy. Will probably use again as needed, and would recommend to anyone needing dog training. Very flexible on schedule, added bonus.
You will think you have a different dog after just one training session with Sully. It is truly amazing what she can do with a dog in actually just minutes. Your dog will start minding immediately.
Our dog is a German shepherd named Lady. Laura has kept our dog several times and our dog loves staying in her home. Lady loves Laura's two dogs Chad and Bentley. They all play so well together. Lady loved being with Laura because Laura treats your dog as one of her own. Any time we said we were going to go see the boys which are Chad and Bentley Lady always got very excited. If you want someone to take care of your beloved dog like we do, then take them to Laura's home. It's an experience your dogs will never forget.
Casey and his wife run a great business. The worse the problem you might be having with your dog the more they like it.i have taken my 2 shepherds and 1 malinois and couldn't be happier
I participated in a team taught Reactive Rover class where Bill was an instructor. Bill's calm demeanor and his kind positive way of providing training instruction and giving feedback to participants made the class a real pleasure. I learned a great deal that I intend to continue to apply to my dog's training. As a result of the class I am asking Bill to work with me and my dog one on one to further our learning. His force free positive training methods are the best way to teach a dog new behaviors and he has a very sophisticated understanding of how to do this.
Wags is perfect for days when I have to work a little longer than usual, and the dog needs a little break from being home alone. The walkers are professional and courteous, and always leave a note detailing the walk, which is very helpful. My dog goes a little nuts around other dogs, so he can't really go to daycare, and Wags is the perfect solution! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable dog walker. Plus, they are one of the only services in the area with online booking.
I enjoyed working with Amy because she provided a wealth of information and good direction for training our rescue dog. She really took the time to get to know my dog, and to understand my training needs and goals. And with a great sense of humor, she was able to make training fun!
She was professional and reliable. I will definately use her services again.
My company produces large expos for pet lovers across the country. As a result, Ive met literally thousands of dog trainers, from Anchorage to Miami and Boston to San Francisco - and gotten more advice than Id like from many of them. I can confidently say that Erin Wigginton, owner and head trainer of Helping Hounds Training, is one of the very best and she quite literally changed our lives. I originally reached out to Erin because my canine soulmate, Enzo, had become fear reactive and I knew it was only a matter of time until someone was seriously injured by him; hed become a very dangerous dog and could no longer be trusted. Even though I had originally been working with another trainer, who talked a lot about rehabilitation and being balanced, dog psychology, being the pack leader and making sure I was the alpha, the original problems I had sought help for (Enzo behaving like a normal six-month teenage brat), ended up becoming much much worse. One of the first things that this trainer did was fit Enzo for a pinch collar and the second thing that he did was show me how to properly snap the lead to correct any undesirable behavior or even to prevent an anticipated unwanted behavior. I really hated how Enzo yelped with each correction. When I expressed concern, I was told that it was simply doggie drama" and that the collar didnt really hurt him; it was just like the correction that a mother dog gives her puppies and it was meant to get his attention - that if I didnt buck up and start acting like a pack leader, like the human alpha I should be, Enzo would turn into a monster. According to the trainer, the problem wasnt with Enzo at all - the problem was with me. In the meantime, Enzo started displaying some new and scary behaviors, like lunging and growling at strangers and anything human in shape, including sculptures and statues, and no longer enjoyed his daily walks. And he absolutely terrified of his trainer - like pee on himself when the trainer arrives scared. I decided that I didnt care about any theory or rehabilitation, I cared about Enzos well-being, so I fired our trainer and began searching for options that I hoped could help make Enzo whole again. The more I read, the more I learned, the more (legitimate) canine behavior experts I spoke to, I came to realize that Enzo wasnt being trained by his former trainer, he was being bullied, terrorized and abused. After a ton of research on Helping Hounds and their training methods, I thought that they might be the answer to our prayers. Erin was a very different type of trainer and proved to be everything that I had hoped for: patient, understanding, kind and respectful of Enzos needs. Enzo loved her immediately - and most importantly - Erin loved him right back. As a result of her patient work with building Enzos confidence and educating both of us on how to better understand one another, my boy is now a happy and healthy canine who no longer lives in constant fear of strangers. Erin believed in him and believed in us and I cant even tell you how much that means to me - and Enzo. I made some big mistakes - HUGE mistakes - with Enzos early training and may never get over the guilt; I can promise you that if you introduce Erin to your own best friend, youll be nothing but happy and your canine companion will thank you for it.
Roxanne has a number of techniques for the dog training. She listens to what you want the dog to do and then forms a plan to get the dog to change his behavior. She did mostly positive reinforcements but she was not afraid to suggest negative reinforcements if that's what is needed. Fortunately our dog responded well with positive reinforcemenfs
I signed up for lessons at No Leash Needed after talking to three other training companies in the area. Most of them offer the same services and I was just looking for basic obedience. I liked Shannon the best, she seemed to know what she was talking about and was very down to earth. My dog seemed to like her instantly and now gets very excited to see her. I was really happy because my dog isn't that big and I really didnt want to put a big shock collar or prong collar like other trainers suggested but I also didnt have any luck with the clicker classes. Shannon didnt think the collars were necessary and so far we have been having great results through some private lessons. I think it was a little bit higher priced than I was expecting but I am very happy and actually enjoy training my dog.
Pawsitively Awesome! Trainers are really personable, they also really care about you and your dog learning together and having fun! Highly recommend any class offered here.
Kody trained my beloved German Shepherd Queesha. We both absolutely loved him. He was very thorough and had her trained in a very short time. I will definitely recommend him to all my friends and family for all of the pet training or care needs.
Rod assisted me in deciding what type of dog I needed, over the phone, without even knowing me. He was very knowledgable about German Shepherds and their behaviors. Thank you Rod, I plan to train at your place!
I cannot express how wonderful Michelle was My Chihuahua was totally out of control and the first 3 weeks due to my health I couldn't practice with him but she didn't let that stop our progress. My dog is so much better and I told her I wanted to sign up for 3 more lessons and she told me lets do it a week at a time to make sure that is all you need. Have to say she has a calming effect on mr I highly recommend her. You will not be disappointed
