FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I think my bio really says it all, but it's been years of old school field training, that started by developing film of all sorts in my younger years to learning medium format then in recent years transitioning in to digital which in most cases has "simplified" the process.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Starting in the dark room at 11 years of age, my Grandfather (a Navy Pilot and aerial photographer), had a zeal for getting his second oldest grandson up to speed with 'everything he knows', which was a jump-start as a photographer today. It was one thing to just pick up a 35mm point-and-shoot, but obtaining enough ability to photograph with a medium format camera was another. I've been privileged in the sense of gaining knowledge and learning to learn, and always keeping an open mind to new information avoiding approaches that stunt growth as a photographer. I'll say though I've let go the last piece of vintage equipment and stepped fully into the digital age, and loving it!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Really, if you can think of it, I photograph it. Ranging from basic family portraiture, all the way to live events that require on the spot creative lighting. You'll see photographs of music artists, political officials, authors, business development organizations and sometime work with restaurants.
