Introduction: Landon Shaw is an equity actor, professional director, producer, artistic director, educator, playwright, casting director, and talent manager that has been working professionally in the industry for over 25 years now. In that time, Landon has had the privilege and opportunity to work with many reputable and renowned artists in a variety of capacities. His career has taken him all over the country allowing him to also work for many reputable companies serving in a variety of positions and so far accumulating over 130 production credits to his resume. As an educator/instructor his past and current students have consistently maintained steady work on Broadway, National Tours, regional theatre, film, television and local/national commercials. He has vocal students that made it rather far on such shows as American Idol, The Voice, and national voice/music competitions. He is currently represented on Broadway by TONY Award Nominee Taylor Louderman (Regina George MEAN GIRLS). He also has a student in L.A. finishing his debut album. He also as a student in St. Louis working on her debut album which Landon is co-producing. Landon is very serious and passionate about what he does and that passion is instantly passed on and felt by his students. He is always upbeat and creates a warm, friendly, positive, and safe environment. However, he is also honest, direct and able to get a lot out of his students without the need to tear them down. The key to his success is meeting them where they are and learning how they "work and operate" and adapting his approach to fit. However, the content, expectations, overall end result is still the same. So far, this approach has worked every time! Whether it was a beginner just wanting to gain confidence and further knowledge for that first school play, or sing a song for the talent show. Or the student that knew they were ready to try and have a career as a "child actor" or recording artist. To date, every student regardless of age or experience level that has worked with Landon has instantly seen results within just a couple of lessons. Most importantly, they have learned valuable knowledge about their instrument and the proper care of that instrument. Or, fixed a bad habit succeeding in techniques to make them a more confident artist. Landon has created his own acting technique, which has been taught and used now by several theatre teachers and instructors and in the 10 years he has developed it. Over 15,000 students have been taught the "Shaw Technique" from all over the United States and abroad.
