Working with Travis was a pleasure. He came up with an idea for my storage solution in the basement. He was very professional, creative and affordable, I would definitely hire him again for my home projects.

Hired on Thumbtack

Hired on Thumbtack

Hired Travis to do a large number of jobs around my house. He started with some drywall repair in the basement. I stressed before the job that cleanliness was very important. The work was supposed to be done before new floors were installed but another (Thumbtack) flaked out on getting it done. Well every evening, after they left I had to get on my hands and knees to scrape and clean mud off of my new flooring. Absolutely no concern for treating my property with respect. Then when re-installing my base molding, for some reason he decided to cut down pieces that had fit perfectly, leaving wide gaps (1/4") that he filled with caulk. I've got to replace several pieces now to make it look good again. He also has no respect for time. Note that I am in the middle of a major remodel. The only livable portions of my house right now are the basement and bedrooms. They showed up at 9 on a Sunday, slapped on some mud, set up a bunch of fans and said they would be back later. Later was 6:30 pm. They stayed until 8. I had to spend the entire day living out of a bedroom. Nobody wants a contractor working in their only livable space at 8 on a Sunday night! By the time I cleaned up their mess it was 9 PM. Finally after finishing the first job, he's completely disappeared. This seems to be a common theme with Thumbtack contractors. Out of 5 I have yet to have a single one finish a job. At least this one didn't steal from me like the first did. Update: It's been about a week since I posted the first review. Figured Travis would reach out to me and and try to correct the situation but it's been completely silent. He had mentioned that one of the other contractors working on my house had decided to hire him for some jobs. I would have thought that would have made finishing my project more important, since I had lead him to more work but no, I guess he got a better gig and left me high and dry. I guess no good deed goes unpunished. Additionally I painted the drywall work he did today, it was not good, pockmarks everywhere.
