Introduction: If a student needs help in understanding a musical concept or passage, I will give extra instruction beyond what is required. For example: I give one of my students, whose parents could only afford a forty-five minute lesson, a much needed hour lesson in order to give us enough time to work on all of his assignments. I love the interaction that occurs between the student and teacher while learning new and exciting music.

Sitting nearby, my son nudged me and said, "Mom...listen to this! He's going to play a guitar solo on his violin! Do you know how incredible that is?" Well, I soon learned how incredible it was as I sat with my mouth gaping open in astonishment, watching and listening to a teenage boy on stage play his violin in an amazing fashion! It seemed like he played the violin up one side and down the other! I asked my son, "Who IS that?" and he replied, "It's Jonathan Sneddon! That's who we've all been talking about! He's unbelievable!" I ageed. He WAS unbelievable. Unbelievably good. GREAT, in fact. "You should hear him play the piano!" I couldn't imagine.... But thankfully, I didn't have to wait too long. It was a rapturous experience. Jonathan doesn't just play a song or a sonata or concerto...he plays his soul. And you can feel it in every ounce of your being. It is one of my great pleasures in life to introduce someone new to Jonathan's musical gifting. I glance back and forth from Jonathan's hands moving swiftly along the keyboard to the expressions on the faces of those listening to him. There always comes a moment...soon after his music begins...when they get it. When, depending on the nature of the composition he is playing, they are swept to the depths, to the height, to the breadth of the music with him. Several years ago, one of our sons began piano instruction with Jonathan. $12 per 20 minute lesson (best with very young children) $15 per 30 minute lesson $18 per 45 minute lesson $24 per 60 minute lesson
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With younger and beginner students, I typically work with them on the Alfred Method books. But with older and more accomplished players, I'll will custom make their lesson plans based on what they are interested in with music.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 14 years experience in teaching and majored in music performance in college.
