- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use estimating software to come up with prices. It is based on prices established for our region and is extremely detailed. We can go over the estimate line item by line item and adjust the scope of work to fit any budget. I do not simply look around and spit out a price, I estimate every job with the software. This way everyone knows what they are getting and how much each item will cost.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Green builder certifications, science of building certificate, OSHA certified, licensed residential builder / remodeler, in travel to trade shows in other states to learn about new technology in construction. I was trained by a national builder in Gainesville Georgia. Continuing ed. Through the home builders association.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
From a young age I was drawn to carpentry work. Being a third generation contractor it was natural for me to enter into the profession.
