About this pro
Achong Photography is driven by a passion for art, a deep desire to capture the moments that define our lives, the perfect and the imperfect in all their unique facets. Whether it is a wedding, family portraits, a party, a styled shoot, or commercial images, behind the camera is where we love to be, and providing quality photographs to cherish is our pursuit. Photography allows us to capture the most important days and moments in people's lives, the beauty, the intimacy, the breath of that instant. It also allows us to capture artistic images that can be cherished and shared. Every day, every shoot is different than the last, and we wouldn't change it for a second.
Customers rated this pro highly for value, punctuality, and responsiveness.

We had a wonderful experience taking our family photos with Achong Photography. They were easy to work with and flexible in dealing with four young children.Nov 26, 2017

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our pricing is catered to your request and fully inclusive of not only the time and care with your actual session, but the many hours of post-processing. We are highly experienced professionals that take pride in our work, have the right equipment and expertise to handle any situation, and strive to provide only the best in both photographs and customer service. Photography takes so much more than the click of a shutter. Not only do you need to have the eye and expertise for composition, lighting, etc, to build the right shot to start out, many, many hours go into post-processing. Developing the images, color correction, cleaning up beads of sweat, maybe a blemish or two, and diligently polishing the tone of the image in the right way for the moment. We love what we do, and more importantly we care about ensuring every image is our best image.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first step is discussing your vision. We would love to meet in person or talk over the phone - whatever is most convenient for you. We want to know what you see when you envision your perfect images and then we work to build a specific package to fit your needs. A contract is drafted, depending on the session. Most shoots require a 50% deposit to reserve a date, and then the remainder is due prior to the session as agreed in your contract, unless otherwise specified. The main thing is making sure you are relaxed and comfortable for your session. We will talk with you as often as you like to ensure we are prepared and familiar with you so you can be at ease in front of the camera. This is particularly true for our wedding clients who we celebrate with for at least a whole day - we want to be your perfect fit and work hard to ensure you have the best experience possible with your photographer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Photography is an art, and all forms of art need practice and education to keep growing creatively and technically. With well over a decade of experience and time behind all types of cameras and with multiple editing programs, the learning never ceases. We keep abreast of new techniques continuously. We have passion for what we do, and it keeps us motivated to grow and learn as much as we can.
