I hired Robert Norwood on November 1, 2016 to build a wheelchair ramp for my husband. I could not have asked for a more professional, considerate person to do the job. It was built not only to satisfy the necessary codes but also to my specifications, which included a wider ramp and the structure was made to hold more weight than normal. Other than that I left the construction completely up to him and I was kept informed the whole time as to what he was doing. He went above and beyond what he needed to do -- connected and raised the existing fiberglass steps to the front of the deck so it's sturdy and there is no step down in case the area is needed for an ambulance gurney, there's an additional step at the bottom of the fiberglass steps so there's no big drop off for me, poured some cement at the end of the ramp so it's smooth, he built small wedges for the front door threshold so the wheelchair can go in and out more easily. Before he left he went over the entire railing to take off any sharp edges and splinters. We could not be more pleased and will not hesitate to call him in the future.
