When I agreed to preemptively hire Mr. Cotten I signed an agreement to pay him 20% of my claim , even if he didn't do the work. He worked diligently to get the quotes prepared and done a great job in getting the insurance provider to pay all that was due. During this process he ordered replacement windows for the project but did not tell me until after the windows were ordered. He was not officially hired at that time. I decided to do the work myself and when removing the old windows I realized he had ordered the wrong windows. He came to my home to review and accused me of changing the frame for the windows. I then asked him why would I do that ? No reply but he insisted that he had measured the windows right. When he left the home he told me he was going to correct it and so I commenced to order new windows in agreement that he was going to pay for the windows. Three days later I get a letter in the mail and he denied that he had measured the windows wrong and then again accused me of changing the frame ( which is absurd ) . He offered to pay for the replacement windows but wanted the originally had ordered windows to offset his loss. He did not pay for the original set and I told him no and to send me a check to pay for the new ones. We will see the outcome and it may potentially wind up in small claims court. First of all he was wrong in accusing me of changing the window frame . Secondly he went back on his word. Be aware ! 04/25/2017 The contractor and I have resolved our issues

Mr Cotten, was very punctual. He answered every question I had. The price was fair and it didn't change. He installed a privacy fence for me. It is beautiful. He will soon be doing another job for us, putting siding on our house. I can't wait. He is very nice and so is his workers.

I look at projects...figure price for labor and materials. Give quotes.. discuss project with customer after quote. Then you decide what you want to do.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Not hardly!!!! Don't have time. No complaints about any of my work so far.....
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out remodeling my own home and people seen the work I did and wanted me to do some for them and it took off from there.
