GREAT VALUE

"Great people to hire for just about anything you need done around your house or business. They remodeled one of my bathrooms and did a very nice job. Ran into a small plumbing problem but when we found the right parts it was no longer a problem and everything went smoothly. The wall board, tile on the walls and floor, the paint and all the trim work all look very professional. Very honest people and I do not have a problem leaving them in my house alone. They will work with you on any problems that may come up and just want to make sure you are happy with what you are paying for. If you think of any other work you might need done, don't be afraid to ask them. The price is very reasonable and they are going to come back and remodel my other bathroom when I get the time. You owe it to yourself to call American Homes Construction before hiring someone else. They stay with the job until it is done and you are happy."

"This is my first time using thumbtack for a cleaner I must admit I was skeptical at first. I put it all the information and All About cleaning sent me a price . We set up my cleaning and I am so glad I did . These girls showed up on time and got right to work . My house never felt so clean . I’m busy as a working Mom and it feels good that I have one less thing to worry about .Highly recommend.A++"

"Hunter and crew saved my marriage! My wife was visiting her mother in Jackson one weekend and I locked myself out of the house. Thinking I could easily fix it in the morning before she returned, I went to bed. It was the last sleep I got for the next two days. It was not as easy as replacing a pane of glass, OH NO, I had to order it and it would take at least two(2) WEEKS for it to arrive. The cat is out of the bag! Called Hunter and crew and they had it replaced in a day. WHEW! Will definitely use again and tell My friends. H Howard MS Gulf Coast"

"Celisa answered my request for a cleaning quote with a detailed and prompt reply that stood out among the other responses I received from Thumbtack. I was out of town the week I wanted the cleaning done and the way she handled getting my first time cleaning set up made this a complete non-issue. Coming home from a business trip to a clean house is one of the more pleasant feelings in life. Foster's Cleaning Service, through Celisa's front-end coordination and back-end follow up turned my apartment cleaning from a one time clean-up to a bi-weekly job. I cannot stress the attention to detail that is given pre & post job. Foster's & Celisa truly provide a "complete package" service. "

"She was very professional, yet friendly and reassuring from our first contact. She met before hand to explain what all she would do so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding and she provided references without hesitation. The cleaning was very thorough. Just as she described in our walk through. I went around most of the house to see if she hit every spot that was neglected by my previous service, but realized I wasn't going to find anything upon inspection. If every cleaning is on par with this initial one, I'll be extremely satisfied."

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much do you pay for house cleaning?

Hiring a professional house cleaning service is a helpful way to have a healthy home even when your work and personal schedule is packed. House cleaning prices vary based on how many square feet your home is, how dirty your house gets, and how often the cleaning service comes. Some companies charge a set amount — such as 5 cents — per square foot, with a minimum amount, such as $100. The national average cost for house cleaning ranges between $110 and $150. Prices can be lower in areas with a lower cost of living, higher in big cities or affluent regions. You may save money by increasing the frequency of your house cleaning visits. Often a company will charge you less per cleaning when you schedule more cleanings per month. The cost advantage rewards your loyalty, and also reflects the fact that more frequent cleanings make it easier to maintain a high level of cleanliness in your home. A housecleaning service may charge more for the first visit or for one-time services than for recurring cleanings.

How much does it cost to deep clean a house?

Deep cleaning a house goes beyond the surface level to clear out the dust, grime and gunk that’s collecting on the fan blades, hiding in the blinds, and built up inside the refrigerator drawers. Deep cleaning of a home or apartment costs more than regular house cleaning because it takes more time, effort, and cleaning products. You may choose to have a deep cleaning once or several times a year in addition to your standard cleaning services. You may have a one-time deep cleaning to prepare for company or to clean after a house party. Companies may charge an hourly rate or a price per square foot, or may offer you a flat rate after they have visited your home and estimated work time. The national average house cleaning price is $110-$150, with rates ranging higher for deep-cleaning services. Here are some examples of how a company may calculate their deep-cleaning prices:

  • 10 cents per square foot (compared with 5 cents per square foot for standard house cleaning).
  • $300 for a 3,000-square-foot home.
  • $25 per hour per worker for deep-cleaning services.

How much does a move-out cleaning cost?

Moving is hard enough work even before you have to clean the empty home to perfection. Instead of scrubbing your tile grout with a toothbrush, hire a professional cleaning company to provide move-out cleaning services for you. For moving out of an apartment, cleaning prices can range from $110 to $150. When scheduling a move-out cleaning, talk with the pro and confirm all the key points they will clean to ensure you receive your deposit back.

Important areas to have cleaned include the fridge interior, the oven interior, bathroom tile, the shower and tub, all blinds, and sometimes the walls. Some cleaning companies do not quote a flat rate for a move-out cleaning, as the number of hours it may take to clean structurally identical apartments could vary greatly depending on how clean or dirty the inhabitants were. For example, move-out house cleaning prices may range from $150 to $180 for one- or two-bedroom apartments.
