- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took modeling and acting classes that specifically trained you in doing your own makeup, just in case a makeup artist wasn't always present. I have been doing makeup using this training since I was twelve. I have also learned many techniques from my mother, who has been a cosmetologist for over twenty years. I have even learned some tips from beauty pageant contestants (being a former one myself) and drag queens, and I have looked into the science behind why some makeups work the way they do. Applying scientific principles to the art of makeup can help people discover beauty tips and hacks. I have been a traveling makeup artist for two years now and have delved into making my own organic makeup.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs I do include face painting for parties, makeup to make someone look like the opposite gender, dance performance makeup, prom and graduation makeup, and sugar skulls around Halloween time.
