My family has had the outstanding services of Maureen Murphy-Bangert as our private home chef for over 10 years. The benefits of her cooking service have been abundant in the busyness of our household life and its many facets! With both my husband and myself being in healthcare, we well know and understand the paramount importance of a good balanced diet and its role in the establishment and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle for us and our children. Maureen's services have been essential in the introduction and exposure of our very busy family to a splendid and delicious variety of healthy meal choices with the convenience of not having to plan and prepare them and in the environment of our home! There is a grounding of our family that is achieved when we gather for a meal together at home during our hectic lives! Many folks have noticed and commented over the years on the healthy choices of vegetables and fruits over fries; fish and chicken selections over burgers;etc. that our children have made from the time that they started eating solid foods! I do feel that good eating habits are learned and that is a process that is ongoing. We continue to have improvement in our overall health with the consumption of delicious, healthy whole food meals prepared by Maureen in our home which take our medical statuses into consideration as well as the growing needs...and appetites...of our teenage son and daughter!! Maureen is an essential part of our family and we love her!!

Chef Moe's" in-home cooking services have been a lifesaver, literally. After my wife had stomach surgery, she couldnt eat rich or fried foods, which meant that every meal needed to be prepared at home. Our busy work schedules made it impossible to cook enough healthy, appetizing meals and became a point of daily stress. As soon as I met Chef Moe, I knew that we were in good hands. She cooks delicious food, of course, but is also highly dependable, organized and thoughtful. My wife is now fully recovered, but we've continued to use the in-home cooking because it has made such an impact on our lives. Its comforting to know that we always have healthy food at home - we can spend quality time eating family dinners together rather than meal planning, shopping and cooking. It also helped me lose 15 pounds; Im eating the same amount, but my nutritional diet is much more balanced!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing depends on the number of meals that a client orders and that depends on how many meals per week they require. I offer a variety of packages, so I always prefer to either meet face-to-face so I can describe my service and explain my fees or at least chat over the phone so I am sure the client understands the service fee and the value they receive.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read cookbooks and cooking magazines like others read novels. I am always on the lookout for interesting local cooking classes where I might be able to share something I learn with my clients.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A few years back I provided in-home cooking for three familes .. 6 adults and 11 children ... during their two week vacation at the North Carolina coast. This included all the grocery shopping and cooking for three meals a day. I made sure their requested items were available for breakfast including some baked goods that I prepared several times a week. Lunches and dinners were different for the children than for the parents and the adults requested a separate dinner seating later in the evening after the children were settled for bed. Appetizers were served for the parents in between serving the children and prepring dinner for the adults. It was an extremely physical job with very long days, but I got to be creative and provide an environment each evening where the parents experienced a variety of delicious foods in a relaxing atmosphere (with candles, dimmed lighting, music) to unwind from the days activities.
