Introduction: Many companies are excellent at helping businesses define their strategic plan. Unfortunately, the business is then left to implement on its own. Where I usually come in is when the strategic plan is already written. A strategic plan is only as good at the implementation plan that gets it done. I help businesses make AND APPLY their implementation plan so their strategic plan is successful. I very much like that my clients are learning and applying what they learn at the same time, to their real work projects. I never have been a proponent of learning something new, but not simultaneously applying it to real life needs, project and issues. I am thrilled when I see people "get it," when the light turns on in their eyes, and I know they are excited about making the tools their own and using them. I like seeing my clients succeed, and I get great satisfaction when I hear, over the years, those people talk about their success and how they continue to use what they learned with me.

What impressed me about Kelly was her capacity to really listen to our situation and help us think through both the big picture strategic planning issues involved in this move as well as the more granular requirements for thinking about it's timing and execution over a three year period. My business partner and I had struggled for several years trying to hire and train and retain good sales people. Kelle Olwyler assisted me with developing a business strategy plan for my small business. I am a solopreneur, so having someone to ask me questions, discuss options, and layout mutually agreed upon goals was invaluable. What I really appreciated in Kelle's approach was that I had more than a plan, I had the steps I needed to implement the plan -- something lacking in previous strategic planning I'd done. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I occasionally take software program classes to keep up my skills and improve on my methods. I am currently looking for a FileMaker Pro database creation and management class so I can increase my skills in FileMakerPro.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was previously a management consultant specializing in strength-based performance. I was never happy with the implementation results my clients obtained after the work we did together. I began looking for new implementation methods before designing my own. I discovered EJA Projects, where all strategic work is broken down into projects and planned accordingly. I met with the CEO of that company, and was so impressed, I learned their method and subcontracted to EJA as well as working with my own clients. The use of this method resulted in the kinds of outcomes I had been hoping for and more. Little by little, I haÂve moved more toward this, as I am so results oriented.
What types of customers have you worked with?
The client either has a strategic plan, or the bones of one. I help them flesh it out, then write an implementation plan so that they can succeed with their strategic plan. As no plan, strategic or implementation is static, we have regular check-ins to discuss new information and adjust the plan accordingly.
