My company has had the pleasure to work with Eleanor Campbell and her team from Events For You at several weddings recently and I can truly say you'd be hard pressed to find someone more organized and on the ball than Eleanor! Eleanor arranged our 50th wedding anniversary party, and we couldn't have done it without her professional help. Everything prior to the event was done on time, she was thorough and thought of details we hadn't even considered. The event was a success. She surprised us with signs describing the food (50 years of food) and wines from around the world (depicting our travels), things I hadn't thought of. I wouldn't use anyone else.

We had Eleanor as a day of coordinator for our destination wedding. She is very fairly priced and we spoke mostly via email leading up to the wedding. She coordinated our equipment rentals and helped keep me on schedule with wedding plans, which was very appreciated. The wedding day she was very helpful and we really liked Ann her assistant, she was fun and friendly & did the rehearsal with us. The things I was not satisfied with was the week leading up to the wedding. I was pretty concerned about the weather so I reached to her for advice. She was slow to respond and didn't seem too concerned with my concerns. As the week progressed I thought she would contact me and make a game plan but that didn't really happen. I ended up figuring out things with the rental company and it all worked out fine. She did eventually reach out & offer help, I just wish she reached out sooner. I also felt that on the wedding day she was proactive & professional but not very friendly or necessarily happy to be there. Others commented on this as well. Maybe she was just burnt out from a busy wedding weekend, I'm not sure.. I do want reinterate she did a great job helping us. She set up the dining area, buffet, cleaned, arranging parking, and brought flowers. She definitely helped ease my mind with everything she did, and I'm very grateful. I think she is a good coordinator who spread herself too thin the weekend of my wedding.

Thank you for the feedback, Tiffany. It’s good to know where we can improve. I do tend to keep my nose to the grindstone, because I figure my clients are paying me to work and not stand around and chitchat. Sorry if that came off as being indifferent. And I agree I may have taken on too much by myself -cleaning house, serving food and cake and tending drinks, as well as helping with flowers, and babysitting, and then washing all those dishes. It was a long day! I think next time I would have two people, but then I’d have to charge more! As far as the weather, after 50 years here, I know that the forecast changes daily, so I did not panic right away, but did email the rental company about adding sides and heaters and they had plenty in stock. I thought we had agreed to make the final call on the Thurs before. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding on that. I do appreciate your comments and will try to do a better job with my clients this year.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our packages are custom-made for each client, and are based on the location and the size of the wedding. We strive to charge a reasonable rate for our services, based on averages for our area. Discounts are available for Active Military and Teachers, and for certain venues.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Initial phone interview or meeting (free) to learn more about you and your needs. 2. Write up a detailed proposal. 3. Once confirmed, create a contract, obtain a deposit, create a planning calendar and budget, then get to work helping you plan a great event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most everyone on our team has a college or associate's degree, and experience in hotels, hospitality, restaurants, event planning, floral design, and customer service.
