Introduction: My primary service lies in doing candid portraiture and in recording stories. There are plenty of portrait photographers and any number of oral historians walking the earth, but very few people who combine both skills.
I like meeting people and hearing them describe significant events/periods of their lives. I like the challenge of editing a compelling story from our conversation. And I particularly enjoy the satisfaction of presenting a finished piece.

I would highly recommend and urge others to work with Craig Bohanan. My family and I are still overjoyed with the beautiful personal history piece he did on my beloved ninety-four year old grandmother. Craig has a true gift with his ability to find the right story to tell about another. He listened intently to my grandmother's tales and chose just the right story to record for all of us. His carefully crafted words perfectly captured her personality - her bravery, sense of humor, humility, and love of adventure. The final piece he created of her story and his beautiful photos truly brought tears to our eyes. His work will be cherished in our family for many generations.
