John from Cornerstone was a pleasure to work with. The craftsmanship was first rate, he was very flexible with my schedule and even moved things around to meet my timing needs and did everything I asked for a reasonable fee (plumbing, installation and door repair). Couldn't be happier with my selection of Cornerstone and would highly recommend them. -Todd
Jose arrived on time, was extremely pleasant. Installed an in wall doggie door, fixed a dead bolt on our door, repaired a window mechanism, fixed a light on a ceiling fan, and installed several ceiling hooks from which my wife hangs plants. Cleaned everything up and left after everything was completed. We could not be happier and would highly recommend him. PS got along well with our dog
Chris installed a ceiling fan in one of my bedrooms. His rate was reasonable and he even threw in a few doggie treats for my dog. Will hire again soon.
I needed a double door repaired & painted. A section of my door was damaged by a dog and I also had water damaged wood in the frame. I also needed a repair on 2 wooden steps to my deck. Bob did an excellant job and stayed on task until finished. I would definitely hire Bob for any future projects.
Timeline of work to be done: After having a company back out due to a heavy work load and no time to complete ours, I contacted Ben to see if he would be willing and able to do the work we needed within a short time frame as we were moving in on the 23rd. Ben was gracious enough to meet me at our home on Thursday, August 14th, for a walk through. While here, he noticed a strong pet smell from the previous owner's pets and spoke with me about the carpets and said he could have someone out the next day to have them cleaned and deodorized. Yes, he does carpets too! That was immediately agreed upon and then later that evening, as promised, he sent an estimate on the painting project and we accepted his proposal. Description of work: In addition to having the carpets cleaned in 7 bedrooms, 2 stairwells, and 4 additional living areas, they were to paint ceilings, trim and walls in office, dining room, entry, downstairs bath, downstairs bedroom, den, kitchen, 2 stairwells, large playroom, bedroom and bathroom. Then we added to our contract our master bedroom and bathroom, upstairs hallway, bathroom and all closets in rooms that we painted ourselves. Process: The carpets were cleaned on Friday and over the weekend we noticed an even stronger smell of pet urine in several rooms. Ben sent his cleaning crew out a second time later in the week, at no extra charge, to retreat specific areas. After the second time, we were both satisfied with the results. We knew that he would not be able to have his painting crew start until Tuesday, August 19th, and Tuesday morning they promptly arrived and got started prepping walls. The gentlemen that Ben has working with and for him are top notch, very polite and hard workers. They had a lot of work to do here and worked odd hours throughout the week to make sure everything was done in time and to our satisfaction. The quality of work met our expectations and then some. From our perspective: Would we hire BWH Services again? Yes. Would we recommend Ben? Absolutely, without a doubt. What went wrong? Nothing. Ben saw a need - we were without painters and were moving in a week's time - and while he knew it would be pushing it to get the work done, he had faith in his crew(s) that they could do it and they did. Ben is a stand up guy, very polite and engaging. It's doesn't seem to be just business with him, but about building relationships to help meet customers needs for now and for the future. THANK YOU, Ben and BWH Services, for providing OUTSTANDING quality work at a very reasonable and fair price. We appreciate all that you did to help make our move a little less stressful.
Powder Room floor replaced. Jonathan and I met to pick out and purchase the tile and materials needed. He and his crew arrived when he promised and did a professional job. He even fixed a small issue with lighting outside my garage door at no additional charge. Jonathan is easy to work with and genuinely wants to make sure his customer is satisfied.
John Healy work was beautiful. He was hired to do sheet rock work ,remove a large AC window unit . Replace a new door ( under house crawl space. )Order hand rails for my husband to balance himself on the steps and install the rails.. Contact masonry to replace bricks where the large air condition had been Outside . Painted the sheet rocks...Prime and painted my window frames in the kitchen. The kitchen look so beautiful I had him paint my ceiling .He work with me . He found my wall needed installation prior to putting up sheet rock and He asked me before replacing any items. His pricing was reasonable for all he did to our home. I have another project read for John. K Hamilton
Installed dog door through external wall. Very high quality work. We definitely recommend him, and will hire him again if others projects arise.
Steve did a great job with not only installing my pet door but also my new back door. I am supremely happy with this work and will hire him again in the future.
Personable and professional. My job (a pet door installation) was handled with ease, and I would hire again.
I experienced a situation with a frozen pipe in the townhouse next door to me burst bringing water into 3 rooms of my home. I literally called the first company I found which to my great delight turned out to be Aquadry & Dan Friedman. He responded quickly to my situation, was extremely professional & did an awesome job of restoring my home. He guided me through the mound of necessary paperwork, used his resources to make contact with respect to a complicated situation involving ownership of the vacant property next door which was well above & beyond his job. What started out to be an overwhelming situation turned into a wonderful experience dealing with Dan & his company.
I've had several projects completed through Thumbtack and this has by far been my best experience. Geoff completely removed and replaced my front yard mailbox. The communication and completion of work was prompt and I was very pleased with the outcome. The smoothest home repair experience I've had - I didn't even have to take off work to be on site. He handled everything (purchasing, installation, removal). I will definitely use Summit Solutions for future needs!
Excellent service. Aeration, seeding, weed treatment and debris removal from lawn. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family for all your lawn care needs. Five star!
Did a great job installing my storm door.
He did an awesome job on all kinds of varied things I needed done to the house from fixing my garage door, plumbing, door locks and stabilizing my deck. Could not ask for better service!
Review - Ed Fagan, DBA Integra Painting & Restoration, integrity The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. "he is known to be a man of integrity" synonyms: honesty, probity, rectitude, honor, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, righteousness, morality, virtue, decency, fairness, scrupulousness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness I have no idea if Mr. Fagan, chose the name "Integra" for part of his company's name as a play on the word, integrity; however if he did not, he should have. "A person of integrity", the phrase is an apt description of my impression of Mr. Fagan, as an individual and of his work ethic. The day he arrived to give his quote, he was on time, he listened to what I had to say, asked questions which clearly indicated he was giving careful thought to what the job would entail. When he answered my questions, I never felt as if I was being told what I wanted to hear or that he felt any of my questions were less than intelligent, even though I'm certain some of them very well could have seemed silly to him. Before he left he gave me a fair quote for the work I requested, instead of telling me he would email me or call me back later with his quote as the other painters did. Ed is professional; polite, and respectful in his demeanor without being aloof. On the days we had agreed upon for him to paint my rooms, he arrived on time. Everything about the job he did for me was well thought out/planned for both the best result and the best use of time. I had hired him to paint the walls in one room and the ceiling in another. At the time he gave me his quote, we had discussed the need or lack thereof to paint the ceiling in both rooms and at the time he agreed with me that the ceiling did not really need to be done in the room where he would be painting the walls. However, on the second day when he returned to paint the second coat on my walls, he decided the ceiling would look better if he painted it as well and he did so. He did so, not in order to add an additional charge to his original quote, but simply because how he perceives the quality of his work is as important to him as is my being pleased with the end result. Ed made it clear from the onset of this additional work, he did not require or want more money. Ed did an excellent job. The walls he painted were originally a very dark color and the color I wanted them painted is an exceptionally light color in comparison. There is no sign anywhere or any bleeding through or even a hint of what the previous color may have been. He patched ever tiny mark or hole. The wall color is even and the paint is smooth, no bubbles, drips or obvious brush/roller marks. I have new wood flooring the room he painted and there is no paint spatter whatsoever to be found on the new flooring, or on the baseboards or door and window trims. Some of the furniture pieces are quite heavy but they were moved without marring the flooring in any manner. He put everything he moved back exactly as it was and thoroughly cleaned all signs of dust from the floors and furniture tops created by some sanding he had needed to do. Again, excellent work ethic! I have already asked Ed for a quote to strip wallpaper from another room and to paint it. There is nothing negative I have to say and there are many more good things I could say about Ed, his work ethic and the quality of his work however I believe they can be covered best by simply saying, I will not be seeking any other quotes for the job; there is no need. That job and any future projects I choose to do within his area of expertise are his, if he chooses to accept them. I highly recommend to anyone, seeking quality work, done in a timely manner, at a fair price, that they hire Ed Fagan, Integra Painting and Restoration. As an aside comment, not directly related to the paint job - when Ed came to give me a quote, before he knew he had the job, he noticed that I had a door which had come off of its track. I had repaired the problem with the door. However, from my seated position in my wheelchair, I had been unable to return it to its proper position. It had been my intention to ask a neighbor for help on the coming weekend. But thanks to Ed's kindness I did not have to. Without my asking him to, or even hinting that I needed help, he asked if I'd like for him to place the door back into the track for me. That one act of kindness as much as anything else cinched his getting to job, despite the fact that his quote was not the cheapest. I am very pleased to state, I'm do not regret my decision in the least. I look forward to asking Ed to take on several more projects in the months ahead, this year and the next. It is so wonderful to have found someone I can rely on to do good work, at a reasonable/fair price, who actually enjoys the work he does and is a nice guy as well!
I hired Ricardo to finish removing wallpaper and popcorn ceiling in my master bath after I realized I started a job I could not finish. His price was fair and included the painting of walls and ceiling. There was an issue that popped up while he was removing the wallpaper, the drywall was peeling due to how it had been applied, so he had to do some repairs which added to time and cost but I felt the additional cost was completely reasonable. I've already given his information to a friend for when she's ready to have some work done in her home. I would definitely recommend and will use again. As a matter of fact, when he came back to patch up a stubborn part on the ceiling I asked for a quote to install a new shower stall door and he did it for me today at a very reasonable price. This is my new go-to guy for repairs and renovations.
I needed a loft enclosed and a door added to make an additional bedroom in my townhouse. Jason and his team did the job in a very timely manner and it came out looking fabulous. I'm extremely happy with the outcome and the price charged. As an aside note, I have a chandelier hanging from the ceiling of my 2 story house. I had NO way to ever clean it, but the painter, Freeland, took it upon himself to clean it for me which was so very nice of him AND I now have a clean chandelier. All things considered, I would totally recommend Jason and his team for any job you need done,. I have already hired him to come back and replace some vinyl tiles on the back of my house that need replacement. Highly recommend Jason and team.
Mike hung all my curtain rods in my house. He also fixed several doors that were not operating properly and took metal awnings off my house. I will call him again for future work.
Shane Grubb has been for several years my "go to guy" for just about any and all home projects....over the past nine weeks, he has pressured washed my house, completely removing all mildrew from roof, sidewalks, driveway and might add, did an incredible job. Also, painted inside and outside, hung ceiling fan, installed window treatments,, remade 1940's outside door. Extremely comforting to know I will get quality work from this honest and caring gentleman. .
Chad came out almost immediately to quote my job to remove an attic fan and install an attic pulldown. He quoted a very fair price and immediately knew what the job would involve. He even made a few suggestions to improve upon it by adding some trim around the new attic door. We scheduled with Holland, they showed up on time and worked all day to get the job done. I think it took longer than they expected, but they didn't cut any corners. One of the best contractors I've ever hired, and I recommend them highly to anyone with carpentry needs.
