My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Carly since May 2013, after taking a year-long break with another teacher. A happy parent referred us to Carly and I convinced my daughter to give piano another try, before giving it up altogether. I can honestly say that Carly brought the joy of learning and playing piano back to my daughter. My daughter can be very shy and Carly took the time to get to know her and they have formed a great teacher-student relationship. Carly motivates her with fun music, encouraging words and makes her eager to learn, rather than look at piano practice as a chore. I am very impressed with how far my daughter has come, in a short time, with her piano playing. I have gotten to see Carly play piano (and sing!) and she is an extremely talented young woman, that any child (or adult) would be lucky to learn from. She has always provided us with good communication, shown flexibility when needed and I highly recommend her to other parents.

My daughter Asia is currently taking violin lessons with Maria. I am very pleased with the program that she offers. She has a unique approach to her lessons, patience, and has a vast knowledge in music while still making Asia's lessons fun. Asia has excelled greatly and made significant progress since starting with Maria. We have made a great choice and highly recommend her.

Philip was so patient and effective with my daughters. They never felt the least bit frustrated, because he always made learning the violin feel so easy and natural! Even though they only were able to study with him for a short time due to distance, they both made great gains during that time! He has a real gift for putting young children at ease, and finding how to draw out their best abilities!

Mrs. Campbell has not only been a great music teacher to my children Keaton (7) & Chloe (5) she is also been a motivator and great inspiration to them through her gifts & teachings Keaton & Chloe had a chance to experience music outside of school during a Music and Art summer camp where Mrs. Campbell was the instructor. The camp offered lessons in Violin, piano, guitar, cello, and drum. Even though it lasted only a few weeks my children who have never played these instruments before completed camp participating in a concert where Keaton played a solo on piano & Chloe played the violin with a group of other string instruments. Both of them completed the camp with the ability to read music. After about a two-month break my children took part in music lessons again where they both chose the violin Mrs. Campbell was impressed that Chloe still was able to read music. A few weeks into the lessons I became weary with the noise I was hearing at home, having a concern that my children just were not getting it I wanted to pull them out. I expressed this concern to Mrs. Campbell and she encouraged me to continue to let the children participate as she explained to me that the violin was one of the hardest instruments to learn she felt confident that both of my children had potential and that there was a rewarding future ahead of them in the world of musical arts. After continuous lessons my children along with the rest of her student got a chance to perform in a variety of events. The students blessed us with a Christmas concert at our local mall, they performed at a meet and greet function at our elementary school, as well as showcased their many talents at a multicultural night. Mrs. Campbell does not just teach and instrut, she diligently works hands-on sharing her gifts and talents as she often takes part in performing with the children. I can honestly say that through the experience & teachings of Mrs. Campbell my children have gained a great deal of confidence in themselves and are eager to be a part of any program Mrs. Campbell puts together. I Give a Great Big Orchestrated Thumbs Up to you Mrs Campbell for All you do!!!

I've had the pleasure of working with Billy for the better part of 3 years. Billy has fulfilled and surpassed every goal and objective that we were looking for when we brought our young daughters to Progressive Music Center. My daughters take Piano, Drums and Vocal lessons at Progressive. From the outset, Billy has lived up to his excellent reputation as the Preeminent resource for Music education in the Triangle Area by providing individually catered lesson plans along with caring, relationship-based instructors. Not only have my girls progressed musically in every way imaginable, but the program(s) that Billy provides serve as an enriching part of our lives socially and have helped build their self-confidence. We enjoy his passion for music, his experienced direction and our relationship with him has provided limitless opportunity for our family...it continues to be a great ride!

I'm 34 years old with no musical background whatsoever, and Qi did a great job teaching me how to play the violin. She is upbeat and encouraging, and I felt she was very patient with me as I struggled to dive head-first into such a challenging instrument. Qi plays the violin beautifully, and she was very open to working with my schedule. I wish I could have taken my training with Qi further, but family life and the physical limits of my left hand prevented me from continuing to pursue the violin. If you need help with learning the violin, then I'd highly recommend Qi!

Words can't even begin to express our gratitude towards Mrs. Jeanetta, whom we credit with first inspiring our kids interest in Music! Since teaching our eldest daughter, Rachel, at the age of 4 to play the piano, who now also plays the violin; it's a family saying around here, that "we owe it all to Mrs. Jeanetta!" She was so gentle, kind and passionate in her instruction with our Rachel, that her younger brother Myles who would tag along with us to lessons, as a toddler, went on to play the piano as well. We credit both of our children's passion for MUSIC to Mrs.Jeanetta's wonderfully, loving relationship with our eldest; and even though she's miles and miles away from us; her name & profound influence lives on in our household! She's the absolute best! ~The Russell family, Alexandria, Virginia

Our daughter has progressed in violin quickly with Maria's patient training. Maria has a wonderful manner with children and encourages them to play for others even outside of recitals, which helps build their self-confidence. We are happy that Maria has been our daughter's violin teacher because she is a great role model for musicianship and service to the community.
