Introduction: I have dedicated a large portion of my life to better my understanding of the human body and how to train it effectively. In 2014 I earned my B.S. Degree in exercise physiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. Not only did I take courses in anatomy and physiology I also received hands on courses on Strength Training, many of which emphasized barbell training. I also maintain a current CSCS certification under the NSCA Since then I have continued to pursue my obsession with learning more by achieving several certifications using functional movement and less conventional methods of strengthening the body. These included Functional Patterns level 1, Original Strength System level 2, Movnat level 2. I have incorporated all of this knowledge along with principles derived from martial arts into my toolbox. This large toolbox gives me a multifaceted approach to train anyone. My approach has a backbone built on scientific principles of strength and conditioning. From here; a client's goals, needs, personal preferences and style will dictate which exercises and tools will be the primary emphasis. This usually includes any combination of barbells, kettle bells, body weight exercises, dumbbells, rings, etc. The most gratifying part of my job is to witness the overarching benefits that training brings to peoples lives. Many clients begin working with a personal trainer because they want to "Tone up", loose weight, or pursue an aesthetic goal. However they end up staying largely due to all the other benefits. For some folks, a steady dose of physical exercise can literally change their lives by fostering self confidence, improved self image, improved energy levels, and by generally feeling making them feel better. When I see a client whose life has been improved by training with me, I know I'm doing something good.

While I might not be technically a customer of Jordan's, we have been close friends for the past year and a half or so. Over the fast couple of years health and fitness have become increasingly important to me. Whenever I have a question about diet, exercise, or stress relieving activities like yoga, Jordan is always the first one I think to call. He's taught me proper form on many different lifts including: deadlifting, squats, and several different lunge variations. He has become sort of a mentor to myself and several other friends who tag along with him to the gym. He may be new to the personal training industry but he has done his homework and has been helping people get into shape for a long time.

You may think you are fit if you get out to run or bike a few times a week...but if you are like me, you may not be working many of your muscles that you should be. I've only been working with Jordan for a few months, but already I can tell that there are positive impacts on my posture, my core strength, and my attention to balance. I think this will really have a big impact not only on my fitness and health, but on the things like running and biking that I have always enjoyed. Jordan is patient, encouraging, and very knowledgeable about multiple disciplines; he is a great instructor for any level of athlete who wants to improve their fitness. I highly recommend both Plank and Jordan!

I've been working with Jordan roughly the past two years, and in that time my wife and family has seen the positive changes he's helped me achieve. I have spinal limitations and combined with my job and travel, lead me to constant pain, poor posture, and a pessimistic attitude in general. Jordan helped get me out of my 'funk' and comfortable with different exercises and activities that work best for my particular goals and limitations. I really enjoy how he integrates the 'functional pattern' and 'natural movement' methodologies into his workouts, to help restore flexibility and mental acuity I've been missing for years. Of course, he supplements these activities with the more-common methods of weights and cardio to strengthen my heart, lungs, muscles, and helps build my self-confidence with a well-rounded workout twice a week. While other trainers in the past have done a good job improving my muscle tone and waist line, I feel that Jordan's tailored style and unique exercises gives the extra attention to detail to help get back in touch with my own body, feeling more comfortable in physical activities, and back to a happier, healthier me.

Jordan has an impressive knowledge base of great exercises, and customized the workouts around any specific physical injuries I have accrued over time. I'm impressed with the fact that he has such a well rounded approach to exercise, using strength training, cardio, hiking, martial arts, and stretching to help me reach my goals. Jordan is always very motivated and a great example of what a personal trainer should be. I can't wait to see what the future brings for this young business!
