Introduction: Dear prospective French students:
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Philip "Philippe" Olmes and I'd like to provide you with a distinctive and completely personalized approach to learning the French language. Together with your input, I can customize a fun tutoring session that will surely motivate you to learn. My teaching experience and methods have demonstrated that in a short period of time, this personalized approach can yield very positive results.
I have been fluent in French for more than 30 years and possess a native accent. I have studied and resided 6 times in France which includes a year spent at the Sorbonne in Paris. Moreover, I have taught for Inlingua School of Languages, Berlitz, and the French bilingual program for Cincinnati public schools. I have also been an English language teaching assistant and taught French University students English in France. I presently work as the lead French tutor at Cary Academy for middle and upper school students.
My current full-time job as an international flight attendant has granted me the opportunity to fly and spend innumerable layovers in Brussels and Paris. Having extensively traveled throughout France and being an ardent Francophile, I can share my experiences and suggest several places worth visiting.
I would be happy to answer any of your questions about studying with me. I can teach complete beginners to advanced students. I can also provide a crash course for people who would like to enrich their trip to France by acquiring knowledge of some useful information and basic survival skills.
I charge $50 per hour and a flat fee of $10 for travel outside Cary. There are no additional charges if you come to me.
Merci et bon courage!
Philip Olmes
