Introduction: Before you truly fix a problem, you have to understand how something works and then you can determine how to fix it. Homes are extremely complicated covering a diversity of trades. I understand how every part of your home works and have a lot of experience fixing problems. I enjoy seeing a smile on a homeowner's face when they are pleased with the work I have done.

First of all, for those of you that don't read an entire review, let me say that Mr. Dalrymple takes great pride in his work. I have two other projects that he is going to do for me and I will call him with any other home improvements that I do in the future. I only wish I had found his name before I did a couple of other projects when I moved here in April. Mr. Dalrymple replaced two ceiling fans for me. One fan was in the bedroom with an 8 foot ceiling and the other was in the living room with an 11 foot ceiling. It took him 2 and a half hours to take down the old fans and put up the new fans. While he was here, he also checked on what would be needed to put fans in two other rooms and hung a mirror for me that is very heavy and had to be hung on a wall stud (that I couldn't find.) I was very impressed with his work. He did go above and beyond. He was here exactly when he said he would be and he did quality work.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically meet briefly with the customer, review the items needing attention, make a list of those items (if not already done by the customer), discuss any options that might be available, and then start fixing (which usually includes a quick trip to obtain the necessary parts and materials if not already provided).

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My father taught me everything I know. He would try to fix it and then break it. I then had to learn how to fix. While that part is not entirely true, I was a very curious kid that was encouraged by both parents. I started doing ceramics with my mother when I was 6, ran a phone line to my bedroom when I was 9 (plus installed a headphone line to me bed from the stereo downstairs. I love to fix things, hate it when then don't work right. Yes, I am a little OCD there ;-)
