He has expertly built our core, strength and cardio up to a level at age 48 that I would never had believed possible. Michael is great at what he does!
Courtney tailors each workout to reach your goals whether that is to increase cardio endurance and/or to become more toned. He's flexible with his schedule and easy to work with in additional to assisting with healthy meal planning. I have seen a difference is my physical appearance, energy, and strength. I would fully recommend him because he is a great personal trainer.
Hugo responds quickly and is very attentive to each training session. He is one on one as advertised, not training multiple clients at the same time. His approach to body mechanics and form are refreshing. He doesn't just throw you on a treadmill and come back in 20minutes. Cardio is actually worked into the speed and reps of various movements and proper form. Lots of body weight movements and TRX which is GREAT for an older client like myself. I have had 4 other trainers over my 64 years and Hugo is the BEST.
I met Jovan through responding to a card I received in the mail about training and a gym membership. I have always been someone who is motivated to do cardio but have never had a desire to lift weights. I need some motivation and a strong tug in that area. When I went to the gym at 214 main in Fort Mill and met Jovon,he had me hooked from the first session. He motivated me and made the workout fun. When I workout with Jovon it is pure fun and the time flies. In the meanwhile I am toning and getting stronger!
I have been so impressed with the service I received from On-Site Workouts. After an initial thorough evaluation the workouts were set at the level of my current fitness. Every session is different which makes it much more interesting and it actually made me look forward to my next session rather than dread it! I loved that with each workout, time was spent concentrating on stretching and improving my flexibility, it wasn't cardio, cardio, cardio!!
I have been visiting Edge for personal training/ group classes for about the last 6 months. I highly recommend the gym for those looking to train with individualized support and attention. The gym has clients that have been training with the owner, Daniel, over the years, giving it a more personal feel. Conveniently located right outside of Uptown, Edge Fitness has an open floor plan (think former warehouse space), with all the equipment neatly laid out (weights, cardio, boxing etc). Classes and personal training sessions push you, regardless of your fitness level. Tip: Purchasing training classes also gives you access to gym facilities outside of your training sessions.
Well I started on a journey with Shelly about 12 weeks ago. It didn't take long for her to figure out that I was in not so good shape. Her extensive knowledge in fitness and health is unmatched and she is She pegged my heart rate from 3500 miles away!! I confirmed it later with an actual heart rate monitor to be correct!! The fact that we are on two different coastlines, her on the East and I on the West, means that communication is key! Shelly accomplishes this in whatever way works and it's seamless. So far the training has been great she is taking "baby steps" with me and teaching me along the way. All the different steps to safely get me to my goals. From her direction we had to get the heart going first, without good cardio nothing will happen. She put me on a few different cardio exercises that are very intense but very beneficial. Shelly has made me aware of my bad eating habits and has directed me with ways to change my diet and get good nutrition without starving myself. Thank goodness!! So fast forward to where I'm at today.. I don't use a scale so the only way I have to measure success is by the complements I'm starting to get from people I don't see everyday and the fact that my clothes are fitting better and having to move my belt up a notch or two! Oh and the side benefit of getting healthier is the energy level that I now have! And with my lifestyle, that is very handy!! Lol I thank you Shelly Peterson for your patience and understanding that most times I need to be talked to and hand held like I'm a 4 year old. To all those that want to better themselves in Health and fitness, I strongly recommend Shelly! She is off the hook AWESOME!! And really knows her craft!
I am getting married in February 2017 and realized I needed to step up my game if I wanted to look really fabulous in my dress! I hired Cate to be my personal trainer back in November and I am so happy I did! We meet twice a week for 1 hour sessions and she provides me with 1 other workout to do in between. During the sessions she whips me into shape with a combination of strength and cardio and targets every area (abs, back, glutes, arms, legs... all of it!). We do a variety of workouts so they're never boring - in fact, I look forward to them! My fiancé is also welcome to join in on our sessions whenever he is available and he agrees with me - Cate will kick your butt! She also has a great personality, so, in addition to a hardcore workout, the conversations are fun too. She also gets on me about my diet and what I do in between sessions by touching base with me throughout the week. All-around great personal trainer (and friend!). I most definitely recommend her!

I met Rachel in March 2012, I was overweight, unhappy and not healthy. In our initial visit, I clicked with her immediately and I hired her to be my personal trainer. I went to her boot camp classes two days a week for an hour which consisted of strength training and cardio. Not only do I get fantastic results from her boot camp classes, but she taught me about nutrition and how to fuel my body with food. I can call her anytime, day or night with a question, temptations or just to celebrate my successes. I know she has many clients but she always makes me feel like I am the only one. I never miss class and look forward to going. Almost a year later, I have released 73 lbs. and am down 7 sizes. My energy is through the roof and I have added years to my life. This journey would not have been possible if it weren't for the help, knowledge and support of Rachel. I will be forever grateful.
30 minutes for the most effective workout you can get! You get your strength training & cardio all in one. Who doesn't have 30 mins a few times a week? Julie is perfect! She shows all the moves and variations for all levels of ability and is checking on posture and giving positive reinforcement the whole time. Its a small group that becomes your best coaches & workout partners!
I was 46 years old when I met Ty. It was time to start doing something. I hadn't worked out in years and I started having problems breathing after set of stairs or just plain talking. Ty set my food plan, cardio for 5 AM, and workout at 5 PM. I shed the fat in less than 5 months. Ty was good at holding me accountible for my bad choices. I absolutely love the fitness programs at Metro Fitness 51 and the staff is outstanding. The facility is always super clean and there are so many options available for all levels of fitness. My favorite class is the kickboxing class which includes rounds on the heavy bag followed by core work. You will never get bored because the workouts are never exactly the same. If you are looking for a new gym, you won't be disappointed if you join Metro Fitness 51!
I have been working out with Taylor for a few months and would highly reccommend him. I have been involved in fitness for over 30 years and find Taylor to be motvational and knowledgable. Taylor is not only interested in helping you achieve your workout goals but also gives helpful information on nutrition. Taylor is very professional and takes his time to get to know your abilities and if you have any limitations. I have had a shoulder injury from years past and we are working on strengthing the muscles around it. I work out 3 times per week and am seeing very good results. My energy level has increased and am loosing inches. I like that his workouts don't concentrate on just one or two areas. He works all muscles and adds cardio into the workout. Alyssa is an excellent physical trainer who has reinforced my belief in miracles! I am a 38yr old female who had been obese for most of my adult life. I tried everything to lose weight and could never get a significant amount off. On top of that, I'd usually end up weighing more than before I started whatever fad diet that was guaranteeing results! I've always been kind of active, but even when I was on top of my game with cardio, I just wasn't getting any results. I signed up with Alyssa and I couldn't do 1 push up at my initial assessment. Now, I can do 3 sets of 15-military style. I don't even want to think about how different my life would be had I not taken that step and trusted her to help me. Whitney was instrumental in helping me begin weight training and develop a workout plan. When I came to her, I had very little experience in a gym aside from cardio equipment and group exercise classes. Whitney showed me how to safely complete a variety of exercises and was extremely patient while doing so. The workouts she taught me were challenging, but not overly so. Marcel was amazing. Prior to training with him my workouts consisted of mainly cardio. However, he introduced me to an array of effective work outs that helped me see results. What I loved most about Marcel was that he made me understand the bigger picture of fitness which is to stay healthy and strong. Whenever Emily leads me through a workout, I know its going to be a good one. One of Emily's strengths is knowing her clients and their strengths and weaknesses. For instance, I am weaker when it comes to lifting, but can handle a decent amount of cardio. Emily knows this and is able to formulate a workout that contains both elements in a fun, motivating way.
