Darla is a professional! She keeps sessions interesting with something new each time and follows up with exercise or diet info as well as encouragement. I am experiencing compliments on results from working with her and look forward to my sessions. She listens and watches closely, tailoring my workout to my needs and skill level.May 14, 2015
Darla has been very receptive, listening to my goals and providing advice and corrective actions for a healthier lifestyle not only in the gym but also with regards to diet and mental fortitude. I am completely satisfied with my experience thus far (4 workouts in).May 5, 2015Verified
Darla is very knowledgeable , hard working and have a positive and radiant personality. She's been training me for the last 3 months helping me to get stronger after my surgery, and deeply cares not only about my physical strength but about my nutrition and overall well being. It's hard to find someone who not only trains you but also teaches you how to get your healthy and happy life back. I am glad i have an opportunity to work with Darla. MartaApr 28, 2015
Darla has been such a huge help me during this last year...I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's and was so scared and had so many questions.....she answered all my questions with great knowledge as well as compassion. With each question she answered she always made me understand exactly what was going on and backed up answers with articles or research to help me understand further as well. When I had questions about testing, foods, diet, symptoms , you name it she always helped me figure out what my next step should be. Along with all of the above she also helped me stay calm through all of it... She truly is God sent. Marissa, New YorkApr 28, 2015

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes, I am continuously engaged in online training courses to help me stay up on the latest things going on in the fitness and nutrition world. I also have a few select mentors I follow to ensure I'm applying some of the most helpful techniques or ideas in my own practice. I love to learn new things and am intrigued by medical research as well.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I decided to get in to health coaching/personal training after being diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder. It took me a few years to do but I eventually put it in to remission via nutrition and fitness. The research I did on autoimmune disorders showed me that these conditions are becoming an epidemic and I want to be a change agent to help other people realize that if given the right tools, the body can heal itself.
- What types of customers have you worked with?In general the most common jobs I do are related to getting people back on track with their full body wellness programs. A few of them have chronic health conditions - I teach them how to use different nutritional choices to help alleviate various symptoms etc. I'm also very involved in supporting middle aged women who are having difficulty managing their weight due to hormone issues etc.
