Makeda P.

I have no words to describe how pleased I am with the transformation Jackie performed in my space. My whole adult life, a house has simply been a place to eat and sleep; purely about the functionality of the space. I told Jackie I wanted to make my house a home and she DELIVERED big time. I was never one to make my bed but what Jackie did in my bedroom makes me WANT to make my bed every time. And at the end of a long day, my living room is the perfect place for me to decompress. I love everything she did and any place I live going forward, she's designing for me. You will NOT be sorry if you bring her on your team.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Consultations are at the hourly rate. Design fees are dependent on the scope of the project. All fees must be paid in full prior to service.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    1. Client schedules and pays for consultation via website or 30 min complimentary introductory call. 2. I will send client welcome packet via email. 3. I will arrive at client's home for scheduled consultation (in person) to take measurements of room, discuss budget, and goals of project. OR 3. I will start video conference / phone call (virtually) to discuss budget and goals of project. 4. Agreement is signed by both client and designer 5. I will share layout, color board, and etc up to 2 weeks after consultation for feedback 6. When design is approved by client, client pays design fees + costs to procure approved items. 7. I will act as project manager to oversee all elements of the process (delivery, installation, hiring of professionals where needed) 8. Client will have the space of their dreams!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Currently 1 course away from earning my interior design certificate. Earned MBA in 2018 from Queens University of Charlotte. Earned BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 from Tuskegee University. Over 15 years corporate experience in engineering, design, manufacturing, project management, and quality support/management roles.
