Outdoor Landscaping and Design
This review/testimonial is a long time coming (I am really bad), but more than well deserved. Todd helped make our little back patio in Noda a chill sanctuary we thoroughly enjoy. His eye for design was stellar and his desire, make that his adamancy, to do things correctly regardless of the extra time it may take, was both obvious and refreshing. Todd does not rush the process at all, and spends the time necessary with the client to ensure the result is to their satisfaction. Highly recommended!Mar 7, 2017Verified
We were very pleased with the entire process from start to finish. Todd Lowe had great ideas for our project, was reasonably priced, and completed the work in a timely manner. We highly recommend Charlotte DreamScapes.Jan 8, 2017
Todd did a great job extending our stone pool patio area for us. We would use Charlotte Dreamscape again.Apr 6, 2016
Todd replaced our wood fence gate and made it match the fence that was there. He was polite, professional, and the job was completed as expected and at the price he quoted. He even replaced a broken picket on another part that wasn't part of the job.Dec 14, 2015
I had hit paint a bedroom and bathroom and I feel he did a really good job on both. The pricing and the timing of the job was as good as one could expect.Jan 11, 2016
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We offer a variety of services and pricing is done according to the type of project. For example, a wood fence can vary from $17 per linear foot for a basic fence to $35 for a custom cedar horizontal fence with stainless steel screws and posts spaced close enough (6' on center) to prevent warping and twisting of the horizontal boards. Patio installations generally start at $15 per square foot. For landscape design projects, the design is free if we are also doing the installation, and there is never a charge to meet and provide a quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually only work with one client at a time, at least on any installation projects. (Smaller one-day or half-day maintenance jobs usually don't require as long a wait as new installations.) I schedule a meet and greet with a new client in a morning, evening, or weekend time slot. Then I continue working on my current project and the new client and I have time to browse catalogs and the Internet, to discuss ideas and fine tune the desired project. This way when the time comes to begin work on the project, there has been time to get it just right!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have trained under a 30-year veteran landscaper, taken classes on proper ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) installation methods for patios and walkways, taken a course on retaining wall engineering, constructed numerous fences over the years, and more. My background also includes honorable and decorated service in the US Coast Guard, a Bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte, a previous business experience founding Union Mail & Copy in Indian Trail and operating it for 4 years.
