Introduction: SouthLight Studio has been working with clients and families in the Charlotte area for the past six years. As a trained fine art photographer, I take pride in my images and take great care in the time I spend with my clients to capture their special moments-- whether it is a maternity portrait, professional headshot, the precious first interactions with a newborn, or an informal family get together. I am relaxed, easygoing and like to enjoy my sessions rather than think of them as work! It is best to take your photographs outdoors with natural light, and I will meet you at your location or a mutual outdoor destination. I prefer to photograph during the "golden hour" of about 1-2 hours after sunrise or 1-2 hours before sunset. I love meeting new people and having the priceless opportunity to capture their most special life moments. I think the most rewarding aspect of this job is to walk into a client's home and see the image I took of their children or families hanging along their walls and around their home. I aim for capturing the photographs you desire, but also making sure to capture the in between moments-- little interactions and expressions that preserve the true beauty of the unexpected.
