Hope & Direction

Introduction: Ordained since 1999 with the United Church of Christ and certified as a Spiritual Director since 2004 through the Dominican Center in Grand Rapids, I offer Spiritual Direction to both the seeker and those wrestling with their Christian faith. My multi-denominational background provides a unique flexibility and understanding of life and faith issues My life experiences include living overseas and living here in the States from coast to coast, thus I am acquainted with the multi-cultural challenges that occur as we move and work. Additionally, work experience as a both a pastor and a hospice chaplain have equipped me to help others to walk more hopefully through a health crisis and prolonged illness. There are few things more rewarding than helping people heal spiritually so that they may walk more faithfully and happily with God and with themselves. Life throws us one blow after another. Sometimes what we are taught about God is unhelpful and sometimes it is even harmful. Listening and helping someone discern their faithful and healthful path has been a tremendous blessing. My hope is that like Paul Bunyan's pilgrim, each person will rise and walk free from the anxiety, depression or anger that burdens their life and prevented them from living life joyfully.
