    I could not be happier that we worked with professionals who treated us fairly and communicated with excellence. I have learned that using this service can result in some very quick and misleading responses. Ben, the owner, of BWH Services was honest and fair from the beginning. He did not try to mislead us with low prices based upon guesses. He made it clear he needed to see the work and then would give us a price. He was not the lowest cost but brought what we believed to be the best value. We interviewed 3 companies and found the right company. A++++ to BWH Services. Great people from owner to painters to accounting. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR YOUR WORK!!!

    Can't get in touch with company. Have problems with previous wotk. Paint pealing ... banister uneven stain... did not complete all shoe molding.

      The company has not gone anywhere. Three months ago it was left with this customer to be in touch with us when she could call. This customer's initial review in late 2016 was 5 star with "great service" noted. We bid other work to ready the house for sale and were to do follow up work and further projects for her based upon quotes done in January of 2017. She was last contacted by us via email on June 12, 2017 at 9:20pm to follow up. We did not receive a call from her as was discussed. As recently as today this client was contacted to make arrangements to address these issues. She has yet to respond to make those arrangements. The door peeling clearly shows nail and ring scratching. While it is a damage issue we would touch it up for her as it is the right thing to do. Interior Rail and added shoe molding were done in November of 2016 and were deemed to be good at the time. We were not contacted to address these issues specifically. We did agree on some minor matters on an exterior window and adding paint to a shoe molding piece would be addressed when the new work was done. We remain glad to take care of these things pictured for her. Not hearing from her for three months though does put the onus back on her to let us know what she needs done and raises a question to the motivation of the change of her review. A call to us would have resulted in time spent resolving the issues rather than time spent responding to a change in review for work well done as described originally.

      • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
        We normally price our jobs by the wall square footage along with the amount of angles that are involved. There are also other factors such as wall patching, priming, not to mention things like wallpaper removal, colors to be covered, previous sheen used, etc. We always prefer to look over the work a client is requesting before giving a set cost. We take actual measurements and spend time with our customers learning what they want and not projecting what costs will be simply based upon what we think from our experience what they want. Typical turn around time for our estimates is 24 hours.
      • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
        We rarely provide a general quote on Thumbtack as the request contains only ranges and general information. We feel that sending a cost that is going to change starts us out in a position of distrust. We prefer to be honest and upfront with each client from the beginning until the end of the work. We always prefer schedule a free on site consultation so we can put an eye on the project and better understand their goals and expectations. We then submit a accurate proposal within 24-48hrs.
      • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
        I have worked in the painting and home improvement industry since 1999. I have seen many ups and downs during that time. I have also seen lots of good and bad work. I have worked diligently to get good craftsmen who are skilled at what they do. I have been around a long time in this business and know what things should cost and what good work will take to accomplish it. I have come to this area of work with a background in Education, Ministry, Music and hard knocks. We all are fellow travelers in this life and I believe the better we do for others the better we become.
