Wright Music Studio
About this pro
My 5 year old just had his first lesson with Jamie last week and he can't wait for another lesson! Jamie was patient and kind while introducing him to both the piano and violin. I love that she uses proper musical terminology and that she teaches respect for the instruments from the start. Jamie included my 2.5 year old for part of the lesson, too, as she saw how interested she was. Jamie is a real gem!Jul 17, 2018
Jamie is an excellent music tutor. You can see her love of music and learning and her desire to share this with others. She is very professional in all her communications and arranging sessions with us. Jamie has a calm, warm and focused approach when teaching our young son and I really appreciated the great summary she gave me at the end each session. She even provided me with tips and games to play in between sessions to continue the learning. I would definitely recommend Jamie others looking for music tutoring!Jul 12, 2018Verified
Jamie Wright is an inspiration! Even though I arrived without an instrument, our first session lasted about an hour. Because of her experience, passion, and patience, she was able to teach me how to begin reading basic notes, play pizzicato, and use the bow on one of her violins. She provided lots of information and techniques for me to use during practice time and information on how to get an instrument. WOWNov 13, 2014Verified
VERY impressed with the first lesson from Jamie for my brand new 14 year old violin player. She was kind, thorough and methodical in her approach to the lesson and my son is excited about learning this new instrument! She also followed-up with a detailed review of the lesson as well as what he should practice via email. We're VERY excited to have found Jamie!!Oct 16, 2014Verified
I had my first lesson today at her home studio. It was a great experience, she was quite patient with my complete lack of any skills and worked to correct everything from my footwork to balance to the way I held the instrument on my shoulder. By the end I actually felt like this is something I can do! Her studio space was wonderful, high ceilings and even my sound was bearable :) Hearing her play in the space was inspiring. I am looking forward to going back next week.Mar 13, 2014Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Lessons are offered in packages of 4 sessions of 30/45/60 minutes. Each lesson includes music theory, music history, and instrument study with 5 minutes set aside to review progress with the student and parent simultaneously.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a firm believer in the value of continuing education. Suzuki Certification courses help me to stay involved in the teaching methods in which I specialize.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?I recommend finding a teacher who is eager to discuss progress and goals with the parent and student after each lesson. This time should be used to show any major technique to watch for during the week's practice and an overview of progress since the prior week. This keeps an open communication line between student, teacher, and parent, which ensures greater progress and results.
