Learn Music

Introduction: Traditionally, music teachers have taken a "one size fits all" approach to private music instruction. Students are forced to learn songs like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" or "Camptown Races" from an irrelevant method book and are never taught the things that caused them to want to play their instrument in the first place. We take a different approach. You see, at Learn Music, we learn, perform, collaborate, and create. We build a custom curriculum for each student, based on their own personal goals and interests. We then teach them what they need to know (how to read music, music theory, how to have great technique, how to gave great tone, etc.) using what they desire to learn. Because the student is learning the material that caused them to want to learn to play an instrument in the first place, they really "buy in" to their lessons. We also have regular performance opportunities for our students, bands they can play in, and a music production lab where they can learn to produce there own music. All of our instructors love having the opportunity to pass on their love of music to their students each and every day. Helping a student discover the beauty of music and their passion for it is an amazing process that we feel so privileged to be a part of.
