- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For orders of a dozen or more, our large (muffin-sized) cupcakes are $3 each with our standard icing. Custom buttercream or fondant icing increases the price between $0.25 and $1.50 per cupcake, depending on the complexity and time required. Custom cakes are individually priced - our 6", three-layer round cake starts at $24. We can also do 8", 10" and sheet cakes, as well as multiple-tiered wedding cakes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our customers will speak with either an owner or a head baker about their event details and any ideas or requirements they have for decoration, types of cake, number of cupcakes or size of cakes, and any special requests.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Smallcakes' Head Bakers are classically trained in pastry arts, with more than 30 years' experience in the field between them.
