Introduction: 10% Labor discount for the month of May 2021 for Duke University students and employees. Must show ID to receive discount.
My business was started based on a simple observation:
Sometimes you just need a friend with a truck! My mission statement is: Have fun and don’t suck! Believe it or not, any chore, even moving, can be a lot of fun, and I try to make sure to keep things light, injecting humor along the way. See? Like you called on a friend!
I have an enclosed cargo trailer with a ramp. I pull it with a mid size SUV which allows me to maneuver it almost anywhere. It’s a light weight rig, and I have AWD so I can back right up to your door without making a mess of the yard if that’s appropriate for your move. The ramp allows me to load and unload heavy and bulky items without much drama. I have a regular dolly that I use 99% of the time, but I also have an appliance dolly and a flat furniture dolly. I have an assortment of hand tools and power tools for disassembling and reassembling furniture.
Cost:
$25 trip/arrival fee within 25 miles of Duke University Hospital.
$75/hour labor for the first 4 hours and $60/hour after that.
$2.50/ loaded mile.
I accept cash or Zelle.
Note: Some services such as vehicle transport may require me to rent specialized equipment. If that is the case, the rental fee will be added at actual cost.
Jobs you can hire me for:
Motorcycle transport.
Local moves.
Long Distance Moves.
Junk Removal.
Pick up bulky purchases… Craigslist, ReStore, Costco, etc.
Vehicle transport.
Large plant transport.
I can also help you when you need a hand with moving large items in your house and yard, rearranging furniture, or moving items on your land.
I’m handy with pretty much anything that has an engine so if we need to rent equipment to complete a project, I can go pick it up, operate the equipment, and return it.
Are you getting the idea? Now, what I can’t do is perform a two person task alone. If you have a large piece of furniture like a couch or loveseat, that’s usually something I expect you to help me with. It’s just me. If you can’t do it alone, I may not be able to either. I’m a big guy, and yes, I’m quite strong, but some things just require two people. If you can’t help or if you can’t provide someone who can, I might not be the person to hire. If you think one person can do it, I’m probably the one who can… I’m very resourceful, and I do not give up easily, but come on… it’s just me. Be realistic.
But if you do need someone who is fun and who doesn’t suck to enthusiastically pitch in and provide the muscle and energy to complete your project, I’m your dude!
