Voice lessons with Johanna are a real treat! Johanna focuses on your specific needs - and makes CD's of your lessons, with you singing and her playing keyboards. It makes practicing more fun - and you will be able to hear your progress! Plus, she sings/plays locally, which is great inspiration!

I met Dan in the late Fall of 2014. To make a very long story short, I almost canceled my first appointment because of a previous bad experience. I'm so glad I didn't. Right from the start, I knew we were a good fit. Dan is a very nurturing, supportive, and caring teacher. He always managed to find alternative ways to get you where you need to be. From hitting that high note you thought it was impossible, to get you to face your fear and taking chances. The lessons never feel like lessons; it was more like hanging out, having fun with an old friend. My lessons went from weekly to bi-weekly, and I had recommended numerous friends and family to take lessons with him. I highly recommend Dan!

I had my first lesson with TJ and he immediately made me feel welcomed and took his time to assess my voice. Our lesson even went over as we tried out some arrangements that we both had an affinity for. Excited to continue lessons with him. As a side note, I am an adult student and he did a great job opening up my voice and sound. I think he will do well with all ages and skill levels.

I took voice lessons with Mrs. Alderman during my middle school and high school years. She is a phenomenal instructor and mentor. My vocal range and quality was strengthened significantly over the years of lessons with Mrs. Alderman. Mrs. Alderman's method of explaining different vocalizing techniques is very understandable and clear and her teaching method is very encouraging and positive. My voice would not be as strong as it is today if I had not learned so much from Mrs. Alderman. She is definitely a great instructor for anyone looking to grasp the concept of singing, expand their knowledge of music and become a stronger singer.

Leslie tailors each lesson to what I need at that time. Her lesson visuals improve understanding of the concepts. Most importantly, she developed my vocal skills in ways that I never thought possible. I now have the confidence to present myself and "perform" in any capacity. She has an amazing client list, professional experience, and contacts. Be sure to tell her how much the Tootsie pop exercise could help you! I highly recommend her.

I am an older adult voice student who has been working with Dr. Warren for several months. I contacted her initially because I wanted to get my voice back in shape for choral singing after not being in a choir/concert chorus for many years. She has been wonderful to work with! -- always positive, with a great sense of humor and lovely mezzo soprano voice as well-- giving me vocalises and songs that are expanding my range slowly but surely. It is especially helpful that she can demonstrate vocal techniques with her own well-developed voice, so that one can both observe mouth positions and hear desired sounds. With a doctorate in Musical Arts and more than 30 years of experience in voice training, choral conducting, and church music ministries, Dr. Warren has been able to answer every musical question I've ever asked her, and add to my musical knowledge with many other details about composers, musical scores, and repertoire. On occasion, she is enjoyably assisted in her teaching by her husband's beautiful red eclectus parrot in the next room who says a friendly "hello" or injects a whistle (of purity to be envied!) into a student's scale or song. I can't imagine any student who would not benefit from her encouragement and teaching style.

Kelli has helped my son improve tremendously not only with his voice, but with his confidence as well. She is great to work with, very flexible and patient. She goes out of her way to individualize the lessons for the student. Also provides public performance opportunites for her students to gain exposure and experience.

This is my first time taking up professional vocal training. I wasn't sure how I'd do with vocal lessons because I don't have a lot of confidence in my singing. I'm really hard on myself when I mess things up, but Ms. Jennifer was so easy with me and explained things in ways so I could understand them well. Her exercises aren't overly complicated, which makes it easier for me to practice at home and I don't get frustrated so easily. She's a patient and sweet instructor, and I'm excited to see how I improve over the next year!

I also have several techniques for learning to read and improvise on the piano. Additionally, my lessons incorporate music theory and ear training.
