The best SAT tutoring company. Our daughter Lindsay went up by 400 points. Highly recommended.
Laurel is a capable and experienced tutor. She is especially skilled in teaching children for whom English is a second language, or who may be having difficulty coming from a home where English is not spoken well. She is patient and has a great variety of materials that she draws upon depending on the student's need.
I’ve taken my SATs a couple of times and although I am not a bad student, I just felt that I could have done better, I knew it inside, but just could not find where it was. I got the Getting Into The Ivys tutoring program and worked with a Chelsea tutor. What I really like about my tutor is that she’s a qualified teacher and is professional and knows how to actually teach concepts properly. I really did not want to take any chances. Going to university is very important to me and my family. Susan my tutor developed a special study plan just for me, which helped me focus on my key weaknesses, without feeling de-motivated, in-fact I was so enthused by her, I actually looked forward to all my sessions. She is a brilliant tutor and I am so very grateful. I was able to increase my composite core by 100. I am very pleased.
Mr. Nelson is by far the best math teacher I have ever come across. I first met Mr. Nelson when I was 15. Math wasn't my favorite subject back then, but he made it my favourite subject very soon. I excelled in Maths and was fast-tracked to sit for my O-Level Math paper one year before the rest of my class. He is really a Math God. More than anything, he is a great person. In grade 11, I was struggling with Math, since I had selected to take the subject at Higher Level. Mr. Nelson was so busy, but he still made time for me. He used to tutor me at 5am! What a teacher! He really is such a great person - and sometimes he did not charge us since he knew my parents were trying hard to pay school fees. When I went on to university in Singapore, I started tutoring students in Math. And when I would get stuck sometimes, Mr Nelson was just a call away. He'd help me solve the sum then and there. I can write so much more about how great he is, but I don't think any of it will do justice. What I can say is, if you need the best math teacher (I hear he tutors in other subjects too now), then Mr. Nelson is your guy. He is simply the best. Oh, and I have recommended him to many others too - all who have used his services share the same sentiments. He is our Math God, and alwyas will be.
I was totally pleased with the support given me by Raleigh Math Tutoring. I never would have completed the course without their help. Thank for a job well done!!
I had already taken an LSAT course before working with Alex. While the course helped, Alex’s strategies took it to the next level I needed. He never contradicted what I had originally learned, but instead reshaped my perspective on the LSAT. He’s also passionate about tutoring, which is a bit odd at first, but you get used to it. I definitely recommend him as a tutor.
Mrs. Avery has always been excited about working with my son each week. She is very knowledgeable and always prepared before each session. Mrs. Avery follows up after every visit and keep in touch about my sons progress and goals. I would recommend Avery Learning Lab to anyone looking for an excellent tutoring and learning service.
I recommend Literacy Connection to all parents. Ms. Johnson does an excellent job. She's currently tutoring my son who has Sensory Processing and she tutored my older son who has ADHD.
Great Act tutor! I've learned so much and feel very good about thanking the ACT again.
My daughter has been going to Mathnasium for quite a while. She was really behind in math, she hated it, in fact. She was in 9th grade but working from a 4th grade level. Mr. King and his crew at Mathnasium of Garner were able to work with her 1 on 1 and she actually is working on grade level in grade 10 now, or Math 2 as they call it in HS. She is not afraid of math anymore, in fact she gets 100's on some of her tests and quizzes . I can't believe the difference. She goes willingly to tutoring, she likes math. I really can't say enough good things. There really is no price you can put on the changes I see in her improvement.

Club Z was exactly what we were looking for our son. Evan just graduated high school and is preparing to go to college this fall. He needed help with improving upon his writing skills so that he would be well prepared to handle the writing challenges in college. Becky was Evan's tutor and she did an excellent job in helping him achieve that goal. His writing skills have greatly improved as well as his confidence in his abilities. I would highly recommend Club Z for anyone looking for tutoring. Cecelia Mills, Durham N.C.
Carole has been one of the most encouraging, insightful, knowledgeable tutors we have ever experienced working with. She has not only helped our daughter with the actual work, but has also taught her to learn how to stay organized, been a source of encouragement to our daughter and taught her the study skills my daughter needs before heading off to college next year. I would recommend her and have recommended her with great eagerness! She gets an A+ in our book!
Krithika is an excellent tutor. She knows all the conventions, rules, expectations, and online resources for topics of high school writing such as critical thinking, literary analysis, research papers, SAT prompts, and college admissions. Like her profile says, she brings passion to the subject. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious, so not only has my sons writing improved, but so has his interest in the subject. Shes an excellent communicator who can connect with the student as well as mediate with the parent. I am sure her advice and guidance are going benefit my son for the rest of his life.
I have been tutoring students from grade four to undergraduate level for two years. I teach subjects like math, English and economics. I also help students in homework and assignments.
I help students in grades 6-college improve their writing skills and reading comprehension, either to boost their grades or score higher on the verbal sections of the ACT or SAT. Although I have a Master's in English, 10-plus years of teaching and tutoring experience and a background in professional writing, I believe it's my enthusiasm and dedication that play the biggest role in my students' success. Whether students are struggling to achieve proficiency, hoping to improve on a past SAT or ACT score, or seeking the skills to go from Bs to As, I'm able to meet them at their level and assist them in meeting their goals.
I have always enjoyed working with young men, and have a knack for explaining things in a way that they understand. I began tutoring math when I was in high school. I also have extensive experience mentoring one on one or leading groups of young men during my seven years in the Boy Scouts of America, and six years teaching multiple merit badges at Raven Knob summer camp. In the future I hope to be an Eagle Scout mentor.
I have used many formal and informal methods to achieve student success. I also am very comfortable working in any type of setting. I have had many students go through college and graduate school.
I am a rising senior at Duke University, and an incoming member of the 2018 Teach for America corps. Available to tutor SAT, ACT, and edit college admissions essays.
I have a very rich and diverse collection of experiences. Consequently, I can adapt to any student's circumstances and needs. From teaching 50 ESL children in a Chinese migrant school to tutoring a single mother in an American community college, I have helped a variety of students achieve their goals.
Forty years ago, I began teaching engineering students physics. I developed a reputation for conveying technical information in layman terms using examples and drawings which further enhanced my student's comprehension. My students learn the importance of recording solutions in their own voice, when I am not there, they can understand and apply the steps to solve similar problems.
