FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a Masters Degree in International Relations and spent five years in Japan working as a cross-cultural management consultant and trainer. When I returned to U.S. I got a job as the Marketing Director for a magazine called "Mangajin" which was designed to help American business and technical professionals better compete with the Japanese. I found I loved marketing more than cross-cultural relations, and went to the Art Institute of Atlanta and received my degree in Graphic Design. I have worked in high-level positions as a Marketing Director, agency Art Director and Senior Graphic Designer since that time. Whether it is international relations or marketing, it is really all about communication.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My love is creative marketing magic, developing highly-targeted concepts for a particular audience and and turning those ideas into high performance marketing that produces tangible results.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
The most important component of highly effective print or online marketing is not designit is content. For the most part you engage your audience and develop lasting relationships with, again, content. Too many businesses think their websites are online brochures, and not the central branding and positioning vehicle for their business.
