On time, fun to talk to, reasonably priced and a highly skilled craftsman. I wholeheartedly recommend Jim's craftsmanship and personability.
Resurfaced a drawer after we installed a new wall oven. We are delighted at how he matched our existing cabinets. We would highly recommend Steve for your woodworking needs. Larry & Judy Wilson
Dan did a fabulous job for us in removing a load bearing wall and building a pantry. Before he started he walked us through everything and explained the process, taking the time to answer all our questions. He is very detail oriented and a true craftsman with extensive knowledge of home construction. We will not hesitate to hire him again for any future projects.
What a great interaction. Ned is a great carpenter who is professional and trustworthy. Would recommend him anytime
Erin built gorgeous built in bookcases in our main living room. He completed the project in a timely manner, cleaned the workspace daily before departing and even kept our dog company!! I have had my share of craftsmen work for me over the years doing various jobs, large to small. I don't impress easily and have found that many of them took short cuts to save money or time and then want to overcharge you. Not this one. Bill gave me an estimate for a hidden bookshelf door. He came in and listened to what I wanted and built the door as planned. He was able to sit with me, go over the plan and offer some ideas that I haven't thought of. He stuck to the estimate exactly and didn't go over. I've never had anyone stick to their estimate, they always seem to go over for some reason or another. The door is wonderful, the workmanship excellent. Bill used quality materials in his construction. He works the entire time he is on the job site, no sitting around wasting time that you pay for. To hide an entire room in plain sight takes a lot of skill and attention to fine detail. I cant do it myself and know that. I also know that good work isn't cheap and cheap work isn't good. This is why I hired a Master Craftsman. He cleaned up the work space after the job. I've had contractors in my home that never noticed that the built-in bookshelf was actually a door or that there was a 10x12 room hidden away from sight. Trim Time delivers excellence to your home. He is very honest and I would definitely recommend him to do other jobs.
I had hardwood flooring underneath carpet in our upstairs area of our office. Others told me that it was subflooring or it would be too damaged to try to refinish. But Brian came in and was confident that these floors were salvageable!! They are absolutely gorgeous now! He loves what he does and believes in keeping hardwoods intact and keeping the original woodwork of the past. I'm glad I called.
Dave is our “go to” guy for all our household needs, from painting to drywall. He is a jack of all trades, even handling a refinish of half our basement. Great clean up after each work day as well. Great work!
I have done two projects with Gene Batten. The first time we worked together I was looking to replicate molding around the interior doors of my house in Manhattan. The molding was a complex design, inlaid and such, and Gene was the only one who could come up with a cost effective solution. Everyone else wanted thousands for about 30 feet of molding which they said had to be cut/carved/shaped/coddled in about 18 different directions, but Gene has some miraculous machine which simply carved the molding out of one solid block of wood. No inlays, no muss, no fuss! He did several runs till he got it exactly right, and the end result is absolutely perfect. I think it's pictured on his website, but even that doesnt reflect how lovely it looks installed, all stained and finished. A great job. The second was an "L" shaped bar top for our kitchen. It had to fit in a corner, kind of, on an existing half wall, so measurements were important. Gene very patiently worked up several drawings, and painstakingly went over it with me for weeks. Since I'm in NYC and he's in North Carolina, we didnt want to mess up; a quarter/half inch here and there is quite critical! The end result is another lovely piece of work. An expertly crafted black walnut counter top which greatly enhances the look of the place. I really cant say enough good things about Mr. Batten. Two projects, two home runs, a lovely chap to deal with, and a first class product at a very fair price. I think that about covers it ;-) Gavin Spencer NYC
Requested Jeff Myers (owner) to come in and resurface 15 year old alderwood cabinets using a Sherwin Williams (Pure White) paint. It is a total, spectacular transformation. His work is impeccable, he is most knowledgable about cabinetry with an extensive background in cabinet making and installation. At all times, he was prompt, very honest and a delight to work with. Our kitchen is completely changed, looks brand new and we even included soft close hinges which are great. His pricing is very reasonable considering the fabulous end results. Would highly recommend Triangle Custom Woodworks! Thanks again Jeff, we lover our bright, clean kitchen!!
Mr. Manner has been nothing short of fabulous to work with from the very start of our correspondence. He has always been prompt and quick to come up with creative solutions for our bookshelves project that was anything but easy. He always managed to go above and beyond my expectations for the project and was patient in answering all of my questions and concerns regarding the build. Now that the project has reached completion am left with a stunning work of art that has already garnered tons of compliments—our bookshelves turned out better than we could have envisioned on our own and we are already lining up new projects with this awesome craftsman. I can’t imagine working with a better professional in his trade and count myself lucky to have found him.
Drew was great to work with. He really listened to what we were looking for and did a great job clarifying the design before jumping into it. He was great about sending us update pictures during construction to make sure we liked how the design or stain looked. He did such an amazing job and we would highly recommend Berrett Woodworks!
