Joel worked 6 sessions with our 20 week old Lab. Our puppy was energic and basically out of control. Joel's calm demeanor and confident/kind/contolled instructional sessions were just what our dog needed. During the second week we saw marked improvement in compliance and control. Joel also was available for advice and knowledgeable about little things to help improve our control and dog management. I would highly recommend Joel for your dog training and please feel free to connect with me for further info. 704 724 0234 Thanks. John Wyllie
Lena came to our house to help us with training our puppy. She was here for over 2 hours and she gave us a lot of very useful information. She was extremely patient with both of our children and our puppy. The information that she gave us was extremely relevant to what we wanted to know and when she left, we definitely felt like we had all the tools we needed to train our dog. She was very nice, prompt and I would recommend her services to anyone looking for a private dog trainer. I've actually already given her name to two of my friends who need help with their dogs.
I could not be more satisfied with Kevin's K-9 Academy. My puppy did a 3 week train and board and wow was it worth every penny! Kevin updated me throughout the training with videos and progress. Kevin followed up to every question I had and I had many. When my puppy came home, Kevin took the time to review the commands and how he worked with my puppy. My puppy is trained with his same personality (which was really important to me). Now that my puppy is back home I can tell how much good the training did him, Kevin was a complete advocate for my puppy and his training. With that said, the training was so amazing I am sending my other dog too! Thank you Kevin, we could not be more pleased and appreciative.
We were able to meet with John and discuss all our concerns in person. It was a wonderful easy process.
Met Mariah for our consultation and loved the way she explained everything and work with our new puppy Nova. She will be working with us to train Nova and we r looking forward to work with her.
I cannot recommend Jarod highly enough. The work he put into training my dog was unbelievable and he has absolutely transformed my dog. My fearful, anxiety ridden pup came home confident and obedient and full of life. You WILL NOT find a better or more dedicated trainer.
We have loved having Fran help us train our Golden Retriever puppy, Finnegan! We bought the puppy package of 3-4 visits. She is very knowledgeable, personable, flexible and great at what she does! We were going to go to one of the pet stores for puppy training, but read about her services and called her up! We are so glad we did!! It was SO helpful that she came to our house so she could show us in our own surroundings (as opposed to a pet store) the best way to handle our issues with our puppy including walks, issues in the back yard, jumping on people walking in the front door, puppy biting, etc. We definitely recommend her for training your dog!!! :) Thanks, Fran!!! I am out of town a lot, so Will from Dog Pro services takes care of my dog Bruno. I like that he also trained my dog with basic obedience. Training was easy and it's affordable Will is an awesome guy.
Theresa was very good at listening to what we described about our dog's behaviors, daily habits, and overall personality, and she seemed to customize her training for our dog. Within only a couple of visits, we have seen marked improvement in our dog's transition from the shelter to our home, as well as a decrease in her overall anxiety. Additionally, Theresa was able to provide references for trainers that can help where she can't, for instance in group dog training for our dog. Her love of dogs is easy to see, and we would recommend her to anyone needing help with their pup.
Blair has been an amazing resource in helping me work through issues with my shy dog who also displays some dog aggressive behaviors. She is clear and concise when answering questions and does a fantastic job at getting to the underlying issues of behaviors. It is clear she loves her job and cares about dogs. She is also great at working with people and helping them learn how to create lasting change in their dogs. I would highly recommend Blair for any help with anything dog training needs!
Amy is absolutely one of the nicest people I have ever met. We stayed in Charlotte Friday, Saturday and Sunday and had her set up to watch our puppy on Sunday during the day. He did not take well to being in a hotel room and Amy offered to watch our dog the entire weekend and for a very reasonable price. We ended up only doing Sunday and knew our dog was going to be safe and taken care of the moment we pulled up. She has a beautiful, well kept house in a gorgeous neighborhood. I cannot recommend Sky's the Limit enough and we will definitely continue to take our dog to her anytime we are in the Charlotte area.
I met Nick, the owner of Alpha-Moves while taking my dog Mister, to a dog socialization class. I was immediately impressed by Nick’s easy going demeanor & willingness to spend extra time with me talking about the ins & outs of training a puppy. I was so impressed by Nicks knowledge of dogs & his suggestions on how to train my puppy, I asked Nick if he would be willing to come over to my house & help me further train Mister. I had no idea how how much help he would be. Nick showed me how to potty train Mister, how to get him not to chew on everything in the house, how to actually come when I called him , and he even showed me effective ways to discipline him without breaking his spirit. Nick was always on time for our appointments & willing to answer my calls & walk me thru whatever Mister & I were working on. When Mister turned 6 months I entrusted Nick to take Mister for 3 weeks & do an intensive obedient training with him. I must admit this was the longest 3 weeks of my life but nick kept my up to date with the training & sent videos to show Mister’s continued improvement. My wife & I had just had our first child so I kept reiterating to Nick how good Mister has to be. After the 3 weeks were up I was blown away with what Nick had done with Mister. My wife or I can simply say “place” & Mister goes to our pre designated spot & stays for as long as we need him. This is so helpful when we are trying to cook dinner & bathe our daughter. Before Mister was underneath our feet & clamoring for attention but now he will just chill out in his place until we say the code word & then he will come off. It’s a game changer!!! Mister heals, off leash. With the help of an e collar I go to the park without a leash. I can ask Mister to lay down, then walk a 100 yards and give him a hand signal that Nick taught him & he will run right to me & sit. It is truly amazing. Mister just turned 1 years old & we haven’t had to deal with all the usual “puppy stuff”. Nick even taught him the “that’s enough” command where I can ask Mister to stop barking & he will do it. This one blew me away because we want Mister to bark to let people know he’s here, but we also want to be able to ask him to stop. Now I feel we have the best of both worlds. I have never left a review for anyone in my entire life but after working with Nick I wanted to let others know. We couldn’t be more grateful & I couldn’t give Nick a higher recommendation. Thanks for all the help Nick. I wish you continued success. Look forward to more training the future. And Mister does too:)
Early 2015 we had quite some difficulties with our new little GSD puppy Greta. She was always sad, anxious, unresponsive, lay in a corner by herself, snappy. We did not know what to do, broke our heart. We found Barbara and sent Greta to "doggy school", as we call it. After 2 1/2 weeks we good the sweetest, snuggliest girl back, we even took her to the beach she is so well behaved now. Since then I have continued with group classes and Greta stays with them when we go on vacation. We are so glad we found RMADT and Barbara.
We had a great overall experience with Glenn as he trained our dog and us. :) Glenn was patient, well-informed and friendly. He answered all of our follow-up questions throroughly and made sure we felt comfortable throughout the training process. The one caveat I would suggest is to establish a communication plan upfront with him. Once we addressed that email was his preferred channel, things went more smoothly. We would recommend Glenn and his family to anyone looking for an educated dog trainer!
He took great care of our dog during training. He was responsive to me, kept me informed on progress, gave updates and spent time explaining the training before and at graduation, so that we all could be successful. Very pleased with his training.
We had a great experience. It was very apparent our 6 month-old little beagle did too. He came home so happy. He had learned many things needed to become a good family pet. Now, if we, the humans, can follow our instructions to keep reinforcing the learning. You know, it's hard to teach an old dog (human) new tricks. Heather was great with Shylo and we would recommend her to anyone looking for super dog training.
Fran is a wonderful and talented dog trainer! She comes to you and works on whatever your needs are. She has a great personality. My dog loves her (and so do my cats). We love her gentle and fun approach with our golden. She gives the whole family the skills we need to continue the work after she leaves. She is always available if we need help in between sessions too. Her group classes are great too! I recommend her to everyoe.
Scott is an excellent trainer. He not only wants to train you and your dog. He wants to make sure you and your dog enjoy each other.
Kat was able to help me after I adopted my 5 year old, Rufus. He was a rescue dog that didn't have the greatest go at life for the first 5 years. Sweet, loving boy, but he definitely needed some guidance as far as training and obedience went. She came over to our house- met with us- and put together a plan to help get him on the fast track to where he needed to be. Through very thorough one on one training she was able to get him to *not* jump with excitement on to visitors (and even me) when they came through the door, she trained him to always stay in "place" when commanded, and the biggest thing of all was that she was able to train him to walk on a leash. I know that sounds silly, but before she worked with him- he was all over the place on a leash. With her tools and methods, he now walks by my side as if the leash isn't even there. Even more so, I can now walk him (where it's permitted) OFF of the leash and he obeys every command. He's still the same sweet boy I adopted, but he wouldn't be the well trained boy he is today without the work and training she did with him.
