I've known Tony for many years now, and I never get tired of going to see him. No matter how much I think I know about guitar (or bass, for that matter), he never fails to have something new to teach me. Learning an instrument is an ongoing process, and you can never exactly 'master' it; the fun thing about guitar and bass and instruments in general is that you can always get better, and Tony understands that, so when you feel like there is nothing more for you to learn, he just makes the next thing more exciting. You'll always be wanting to go to your lesson, which is important when sometimes the thing you're learning can be frustrating. He pushed me to learn guitar riffs that I thought I would never be able to play. He pestered me about studying theory even when he knew I hated it. He got on my case when I didn't practice enough for Dogwood. But he did all of this because he truly only wants what's best for me and all of his students. The greatest thing about taking lessons from Cape Fear Music Center in general is that you don't just get teachers, you get friends. Those employed at the music center truly just care about music and the quality of your experience there. I could go on for ages about how much I love that place and how much it has changed my life, but I think I'll just end by saying that I cannot find a single bad thing to say about that place or the people there.

Tony was an amazing guitar teacher! I took lessons from him for three years and I learned so much! If I hadn't moved out of town, I would still be taking lessons from him. He is definitely one of the nicest, coolest, and most talented teachers I have ever had. I highly recommend him to anyone with any interest in learning to play music!

Tony was the best guitar instructor I have ever worked with, and I have worked with 2 others besides him. The atmosphere is Cape Fear Music Studio is so upbeat and fun! Tony is very patient and teaches so that you understand exactly what to do~ He is an all around great guy!
