Mike is the very first personal trainer I've ever encountered. He's approachable, patience while pushing you to meet your goals, and really know his stuff. You just cannot do better. Would highly recommend for those who want to stay active.

Two years ago I was walking across the street when I was hit by a car. I suffered neck and back injuries and ended up gaining weight. Afraid of injuring myself I stayed away from the gym. Truthfully, I wouldn't have known what to do if I went. As a local TV reporter I have to be on camera and the weight gain hurt my self esteem. I hated how I looked and felt. I was winded walking up stairs. Then I found Hugo! He has been amazing. He has gently pushed me to be the best I can be and modified exercises to accommodate my back and neck injuries. In just two months I have lost 20 pounds and 4 inches off my waist. More importantly, I feel better! For the first time since my accident. Daniel Ancheta put together a really great self defense seminar for myself and a group of seven other ladies ranging in age from middle school through senior adult. In a two hour time period, he and another professional trainer led us through simple, effective jiujitsu based evasive movements to get out of bad situations such as potential sexual assaults. I would absolutely recommend EDGE Performance Training for anyone considering this type of training for yourself or group of friends.

I heard about Erik's Fitness from a friend of mine so I decided to try it out. At first, I didn't know what my level of commitment would be, but after the first few sessions, I began feeling so fantastic afterwards that I knew I was hooked. I never thought about personal training, thinking that I could do it all myself, but Erik showed me that there is so much more to a work out than anything an internet routine can provide. Not only do I see the results I was hoping for, but I can feel that my body is more balanced and working at a higher capacity than it did before. Erik's knowledge of fitness, and his enthusiasm to see you succeed inspires you to work your hardest and keeps you looking and feeling great. Having only worked out with friends in the past I was excited but unsure about having a personal trainer. When researching trainers in the area I was astounded by the prices and knew that it was never going to happen, until I happened to get a message from Johnathon at Lincolnton Personal Trainer. Not only was Johnathon affordable, but his messages to discuss goals and organize plans were prompt, and well thought out. Even after becoming a client, Johnathon will stay in contact with you regularly. Going to work out alone can be very intimidating to everyone. However, Johnathon makes working out a very relaxed and stress free environment. His number one focus is on the safety and well-being of his clients, and always explains the purpose of proper form and how it prevents injury. Johnathon also keeps up with the amount of progress you are making with every specific workout and will inform you when it is time to go to the next weight level. He will only push you to what he knows you can do. It certainly is not easy at times, but the conversations and good laughs help you to forget about the pain. Great trainer for anyone looking to get in shape or stay in shape. He'll make you work hard but he's also incredibly patient. When I started I had no idea how to even lift a weight and a year later I get more compliments on how trim and in shape I look than I did in my college years. Worth it !!!
In the last 10+ years, Sydney is the only coach/trainer that I have found with dynamic range, sensitivity, genuine respect, and awareness to cater her training, whether you're a competitive athlete or just trying to get back in shape. She deeply cares about helping people get better/healthier, but she doesn't force it. She has helped me figure out what I want, rather than what she wants, which is rare in this industry where it's easy to cop-out and say, "take a few vitamins, do horrible workouts, juice cleanse, and you'll be fine." The list is endless, but I can't say enough about what a great trainer she is, and an even better person.
I love working out with My Fitness Foundation as it allows me to have a professional trainer, but on my time. So even though I set a time of 7pm if something comes up and I don't do it until 9pm I didn't waste my money or the trainer's time. The videos showing the exercises are great and the calls with my coach are motivating and fruitful. Highly recommend if you want a quality, results driven workout to fit your schedule, this is the one!
