FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually will not travel farther than 25 miles from my own mailbox. So i adjust the price so that i don't take a loss in the commute to and Fro. I also count grass trim and weed trim as one job, and tree trim and hedge trim as a separate job. Anything outside of those two jobs get a separate pricing (unless we agree on a bi monthly arrangement for a determined amount of time). Arrangements will always get a better deal as opposed to the one-time services.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was bred to maintain lawns. I started with a push mower in my father's acre of land; learned to weed eat; then tree trimming and hedge trimming came later. Edging and minor landscaping came with experience. What's amazing is driving past a yard you've worked in, and seeing where you could improve on that yard.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most common tasks always start with grass trim, weed eating, hedge trimming, and then, somehow, painting is introduced, or carpet cleaning, limb removal, junk hauling, etc. I do professional work at shadetree pricing. I almost always get invited back. Sometimes i even work free.
