The LaMasters went far above and beyond for my wife and I at our wedding reception. Our original band had canceled on us with three weeks until our big day. I found The LeMasters on Thumbtack and they saved the day!!! They traveled to Chattanooga to play at our reception. I gave them a list of songs that we wanted them to play. While I did not expect them to learn them ALL in such a short amount of time, they pulled through and sang every song that was on our list. I know they put a lot of time and energy into making our day perfect. They are very professional and very responsive to our emails. We cannot say "THANK YOU" enough. They rocked out songs from Johnny Cash to even Beyonce. Our friends and family loved you guys as much as we did. Highly recommend!! Can't wait to come up to Nashville to see you guys play.Nov 7, 2016Verified
They played at my wedding ceremony... and they were absolutely great! They were willing to learn any and every new song that we asked... even in a short period of time! They were very professional and even came to our rehearsal so we could practice our processional and recessional with music! :)Oct 23, 2015Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Different types of events bring with them a different level of preparation. Therefore the type of event, length of time required, amount of musicians required, equipment needed, amount of involvement in the event (also being the M.C, etc.), and travel expenses all affect the price reflected in our quote. Even with all of these considerations, we try to give a very fair price that will be competitive with other musicians with or without our high quality of sound and service.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We constantly listen to music and practice new techniques. Surrounding ourselves with other musicians and learning to play with their varying styles keeps us fresh.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?Damian and Carson have both separately loved music and performing from a young age. Damian began studying piano performance at The University of Arizona, but some people (not his professors!) encouraged him to get a "real" degree. He ended up with a science degree and began a path toward a "real" career. His entire perspective on life was changed when he was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He abandoned others' ideals for his own, true passion: music. He has been fervently playing since he was declared in remission in 2008. Damian and Carson met the day after he had been declared in remission and began playing and singing together soon thereafter. Their love of music soon proved just short of their love for each other. They were married in 2010 and were the musicians at their own wedding!
