Blue Ridge Medical and Sports Massage provided me with an outstanding, therapeutic massage. He is very professional, skilled, and attentive, while making sure he applies the right pressure as he works on trigger points. I would most definitely use his services again. He was able to alleviate pain that I was experiencing in my shoulders, lower back, and hamstrings.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Continuing education is huge for massage therapy. SO much new research is coming out each year. I take courses every year from nationally known mentors and teachers. They stay current with all the new research and, in turn, I receive cutting edge teaching. My clients love the newer, more-effective techniques that I use after a new seminar. Lately, I've been focusing on gentle, pain-free techniques to release acute and chronic muscle tension/pain.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Always check out the credentials of any natural practitioner. If you ask about a their continuing education, the courses will give insight as to what style of therapist they are and what they do best. Do they practice evidence-based therapies? What are the philosophies of their instructors? Etc.
