About this pro
I really appreciate when professionals respect my time as much as their own. As such, I was thankful that Al called as soon as he realized he "Might" be a couple minutes late. The SW problems with my HP desktop were anything but standard but Al stuck with it and was able to everything working again in less than two hours. I would comfortably recommend Al Williams to fix your computerApr 23, 2018Verified
Al was on time and let me know when he was on the way. I like that he brought a contract and gave me the option to read and sign it before he started. He was able to get into my laptop and I was able to change the password to something else I can remember. He also was able to remove some malware which gave me more speed. I am very happy I have my laptop back!!! Thanks big Al, my new "cousin." NescafeMar 8, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Here are my rates: Residential hourly rate: $60 an hour. Commercial hourly rate: $75 an hour. 1 hour minimum. Hourly rate is broken into 15 minute increments after the first hour. Flat rate pricing is available for certain jobs. All of our quotes to our customers will list a trip fee, if there is any for your area. Trip fee will be waived if I have other work in your area on the same day as your job. We come to you. In many situations we can fix your computer right there in your home or place of business the same day. Jobs such as virus removal, system cleanups/optimization, typical wireless network setups and numerous others usually take 1 to 2 hours. We can also bring your computer back to our shop, repair it, and drop it back off to you and reconnect everything. Also, we can work on multiple systems per visit and we don't charge more per hour to do so.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have over 20 years of hands on experience in computer repair and in other facets of technology and I have worked for large corporations providing IT support. I have a well-rounded skill set and have strengths in multiple areas such as hardware, software, networking and IT security. I continually keep abreast of new technology by working with it, not just reading about it. You don't get that type of experience and knowledge from a instructor and a piece of paper. I have taken advanced networking courses and I have certifications as well. I'm able to quickly diagnose issues and recommend the best course of action for the client. None of my work is outsourced, I do all of it.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?I frequently build networks for clients and have been for a long time. I recently created a network for a small business which included a VoIP phone system, in-house backup solution in addition to a cloud based service for off site backup, file storage and applications that can be accessed from anywhere. I set up proper network segmentation to enhance security and performance, and it all worked seamlessly among multiple devices and operating systems. I also provided training to all of the employees. I keep things simple and focus on functionality. Although a simple job for me, I was happy that the customer was happy. That's the bottom line.
